ASEAN Founders Aviation Sub-Tree

wasn’t sure about HARM/AARGM compatibility since RMAF relies for Kh-31P for anti radiation and hand over anti ship to F/A-18, but hey a cool addition nonetheless.

Not sure why ours didn’t procure AGM-88 or because Kh-31P already did well speed wise but then Kh-31A also procured as well. Maybe Su-30MKM does destined for anti radar role (and MiG-29N too if RMAF did purchase Kh-27 given the known info earlier, though hearing R-27EP might be coming probably as the devs gonna pull that “compatibility” thing on it again)

also can anyone check RTAF F-16A 15OCU if they got AGM-88 (and maybe AGM-84) too?
and “compatibility” wise would TNI-AU F-16C Blk52ID or F-16AM eMLU get those 2 instead if they’re in game? (that seems like a possibility in future)

From the cockpit the L-39ZA/ART has stealth rocket pods :thonk:

ID’s F-16C can carry both the HARM & Harpoon. F-16AM is not stated but they should be identical to the F-16C so it should be able to carry it as well, problem is ID doesnt have either of said missiles (We have the RGM Harpoon but its ship-launched, not air-launched)

yep they also got spitfire I really hope we see these birds in the normal tech tree as both give great prop close air support something Japan is bad at. I was really sad we did not get them at the start of the sub tree. Hungary got props though soviet still are props. Also you should make a decal suggestion with the bottom & middle one.

FYI Thai F8F Bearcat skin has been in the game files for more than a decade

Yeah but i prefer if they add actual attack aircraft to Japan and/or fix/revamp Japan’s existing attack aircraft such as the Ki-109 & Ki-102 as examples mainly that they are still missing their loadouts

They have 2 or 3 different Spitfire models available.

That skin will need a overhaul but Gaijin could add it any time they want. I really hope we see these in the tree and not like the other Thai prop.

While not confirmed yet, Indonesian Su-35SE may be back on table (irl). 👀

what? how many more fighters can they get??? aren’t they getting both the South Korean one and the KAAN?

Acquisition of KAAN is not confirmed as far as I know, neither for Su-35SE (even though there are indications atm) and J-10B / CE, on KF-21 however they are direct partners.

i feel sorry about their logistic department

To be fair Su-35SE and AL-31F equipped J-10s wouldn’t be too bad, as they are already used to these engines and overall aircraft logistic thru remaining Su-27SK and Su-30MK2 fleet, but there is no doubt they will replace the remaining non upgraded Flankers and perhaps even F-16s until 2030s - just like Hawks are being replaced with Rafale at the moment.

yea but an Airforce with so many different planes ? were to they get parts for their F-16? isnt america put embargo to all nations that are buying russian stuff?

As they were denied from buying F-35s and also basically abandoned the F-15EX (F-15IDN) last year, I personally assume they want cut their dependence on American supplies.

They are not alone with it either; Malaysia eyes Su-57E; Vietnam is allegedly also procuring the Su-35; Philippine is coming closer with Japan and so on…
