ASEAN Founders Aviation Sub-Tree

I’d love to see 9Ms on it, I much prefer them to R-73s ^^

I think taking both would be funny since the IRCCM behaves completely differently between the 73 and 9M, you’d get a missile for each situation, 9Ms are deadly in side aspect and for combat air patrol runs in GRB

I personally only run 5x R-77 + 1x R-73, I don’t really use R-73s unless I’m in a dogfight ^^

not 100% confirmed just yet, but from what it looks like the 2026 batch of airframes had arrived (batch 1+2), which include = 4x rafale B & 2x Rafale C

gotta wait until the ceremony in a couple of days to know for sure

Update: found an alternative footage from yesterday landing in Sri Lanka, Its the first batch confirmed! Rafale Cs (and B)!

Yeah that’s fair, I know people who run full R-77s or even 4x R-77s and 2x ERs or ER/ET split, in my case I’m the type of player who makes an (air to air) loadout for every single situation imaginable in case I RTB and find myself with any given number of enemies, the R-73 + 9M mix would be for a map like Kamchatka against a potential higher BR enemy aircraft (depends which one as well) where I’d force a dogfight and use those missiles.

found the Hawk 53 specs from Indonesian Air Show '96, unfortunately the armament section is cut off but there are some unique stuff mentioned

Much clearer on the youtube video than on the screenshots

from what I can read, (ea here is each = pylons capable of carrying / amount possible to carry):

  • GP Mk82 bomb | 250kg, 4 ea
  • GP MK I bomb | 130kg, 4 ea
  • CBU TAL 1 cluster bomb | 250kg, 4 ea (israeli)
  • GP MK 12 bomb | 360kg, 4 ea (still used in modern times with the F-16)
  • OFAB fragmentation bomb | 100kg, 4 ea
  • LAU 68 FFAR rocket pods | 7x rockets, 4 ea = 28 rockets total
  • unreadable (presumably ADEN 30mm) | 130x rounds
  • unreadable
  • unreadable

some interesting things are highlighted there

Let’s hope so, their ground forces for Japan just got confirmed so it’s only a matter of time

got confirmation from 12th Air Sqd, rather than the “C/B” classification, the Rafale uses standard export-classification “E/D” with EI for single seater, & DI for dual seat

also dope video btw, check it out

Hopefully Gaijin adds it in.

Japan need some heavy bombers for memes

We need that bomber for the USSR and China as well. I would use it in mix battles as a mini PE8.

USSR already have TU-95 and China have it’s own modification

the Russian Tu-16 would still be cool to see in the Indonesian sub tree , russian tree
and the H-6 with the chinese tree

Ya it’s the same airframe with similar load out

the Tu-16 is smaller and has jet engines , while the tu-95 is larger and louder to the ears.

I meant the Tu-16 and it’s Chinese sister

ahh, it was hard to figure out what you meant, thought you meant the bear and the badger are the same
minor mistake to make

I’ve always wondered why people refer to Soviet equipment as “Russian”—it was manufactured throughout the entire Soviet Union, not just in Russia

All is good
