ID Rafale Cs (T-0317 & T-0318) now has a proper camo, very high likelihood they’ll be part of the 2nd batch later on this year with another Rafale B (T-0304)

Stunning!

Is there a reason why only the US F-18C late has a Litening ii pod on the center pylon?
Im asking mainly for the Malaysian F-18D, but this would also apply for all the other F-18C late on the other techtrees

the litening pod was earlier integrated on centerline as there is no fairing adapter for air intake hardpoint, though this is only available several years later, not sure why they haven’t model it yet. Should be available for both US and Aussie Hornet A+

while RMAF F/A-18D doesn’t have Litening pod in their inventory (for obvious reason, though funny that we do have TALD decoy), though given gaijin with their “compatibilty” basis it would be cursed (I’d rather had Damocles pod on it than that)

Are any nations from Thailand-Malaysia-Indonesia have anti radiation missles?

Malaysian Su-30MKM and Indonesian Su-27SKM can use Kh-31s. Otherwise, I am not sure really.

Rafale dont have any?

Not yet.

F-16 Block52ID can technically carry AGM-88 HARM but the missile isnt in the arsenal of the Air Force

Gaijin historically will approve that if theoretically a vehicle could use a munition given balance concerns. Unless there is doctrine or hard reasons for it not to have it look at Japan for example. Experimental munitions are my favorite to do readings on and we have some in game.

It’s really just a pick and choose thing. The only weapons that can be reported is (sometimes) if they are physically incompatible, but missing weapons are generally seen as a design choice more than a historical issue and it can be for rather silly reasons sometimes.

My favorite example is the F-16AJ, which was advertised with TV guided bombs, and in game based on the US Block 10 that also had them, but Gaijin removed them so that it wouldn’t be the best F-16 on release without drawbacks, despite the US getting their F-14B at the same time. It’s an arbitrary change and we’re stuck with the report being a (so far ignored) suggestion only.

Kh-31s and HARMs would be fun.

I’m also wondering (tho more research is needed) if ASM-3 can be used in such regard

It’s laid out in pretty plain terms that the ASM-3 has a home-on-emission mode. The reality is that even if its directly stated, it still has to go against the mental gymnastics of the developers. Maybe since it’s originally designed as an AShM, the devs will claim that it can only see radar emissions from boats and actually radars on the ground are super duper different and can’t be targeted despite operating in the same frequencies.

Let us pray that they will allow it as it would be cool domestic option for F-2

I don’t think the French have any anti radar munitions made by them or at least a modern one, or doctrinally just use cruise missile against it?

I guess only Malaysia and Indonesia does with Kh-31P’s, surprisingly other members (except Vietnam but they’re not part of this subtree) didn’t chip in on SEAD
