Background

Arma Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle is highly modular, amphibious, wheeled armored fighting vehicle family designed and developed by Otokar. Development of Arma fighting vehicle family started in 2007 as a private venture of Otokar. First Arma was revealed in 2010 in 6x6 configuration. In 2011, first Arma with 8x8 configuration was revealed to public. Both 6x6 and 8x8 configurations found success in export market and 8x8 version is expected to be selected by Turkish Army for Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicle project, no information about contract yet.

Arma 6x6

Arma 6x6 was developed as armored personnel carrier by Otokar as private venture. Development started in 2007 to meet Turkish Army’s requirement for 6x6 armored personnel carrier with amphibious capabilities, and revealed in 2010. Although Arma 6x6 is not chosen by Turkish Army, it found success in export market.

Arma 6x6 is a highly modular tactical wheeled vehicle. Thanks to its high modularity, it can be fitted with variety of turret and weapon systems and fulfil different operational roles, such as:

Arma 6x6 (BOZOK-25)

Arma 6x6’s IFV variant is armed with 25mm auto cannon. Arma 6x6 is generally presented in this configuration in exhibits and fairs alongside with its APC variant.

This specific Arma 6x6 Infantry Fighting Vehicle variant is armed. with Otokar’s own BOZOK-25 turret system. BOZOK-25 is armed with either M242 Bushmaster 25mm auto-cannon or Oerlikon KBA 25mm auto-cannon as main armament and coupled with 7.62mm co-axial machine-gun. Arma 6x6 with BOZOK-25 turret system is center piece Otokar’s booths in every fair, it is widely showcased alongside armored personal carrier variant.

BOZOK-25

BOZOK-25 is one man, electrically driven and stabilized turret system designed and developed by Otokar. BOZOK-25 sports an 25mm dual-feed auto-cannon and co-axial 7.62mm machine-gun. Gunner has access to Thermal and Night as well as CCD Day Camera to identify and engage threats. BOZOK-25 is equipped with variety of accessories such as Laser Range Finder, Automatic Target Tracking System and optional Laser Warning Receiver and Passive Missile Warning System.

Mobility

Arma 6x6 is powered by 450 horsepower unspecified diesel engine, possibly Caterpillar C9, coupled with single-speed transfer box and automatic gearbox. Arma 6x6 has power to weight ratio 24.3 hp/t with maximum top speed of 105 km/h. With hydropneumatic suspension, Arma 6x6 offers superb off-road mobility. Vehicle also comes with built-in central tyre inflation system and fitted in standard with run-flat tires.

On the water, Arma 6x6 is propelled by two unspecified water jets with an approximate top speed of 9km/h. Amphibious capable versions Arma 6x6 requires no can conduct amphibious operation without any preparation or modifications.

Protection

Arma 6x6 with its monocoque steel hull offers high level of ballistic protection against KE projectiles, mine protection and IED threats. Modular structure of armor allows composite modules to be replaced in need of repair or operational requirements, even in battlefield environment. Implementation to War Thunder

All of the Altay variants/models should be reserved for future Turkish Ground Forces Tech Tree. Altay T1 (2021) would be excellent top tier main battle tank with hard-hitting main armament and superb protection levels. BR-wise ı would say it would fit around somewhere between 11.7 to 12.0 Battle Rating.

Arma 6x6 Family should be reserved for future Turkish Ground Forces Tech Tree. Arma 6x6 (BOZOK-25) would be decent support vehicle with high speed and fast firing auto-cannon. BR-wise I would say it would fit around somewhere between 8.0 to 8.3 Battle Rating.
