335 is dead in the water vs 5.7 SPAAs, because Chinese 5.3 SPAA has insane ballistics and everything else surpasses Ostwind’s 37mm while having ROF exceeding 1000 RPM and Do is huge.
Yak-9UT can survive because it’s small. Dornier just dies on top of being premium.
C3 is overal a horrible plane, so yeah, things are tough.
After IL28/b57 move to 7.3, I think it’s time to let AR234C move to 6.7 in GRB as well, considering it can only take 3 bombs, without self-defense. But I would like to see BR extend in GRB as well, it is a surprise that after a few years, Gaijin extends the BR 3.7-4.3, maybe the next one should be 6.7-7.3, and then we can expect the German 6.7 lineup will get better CAS to support.
The new SPAAs, especially the Cold War SPAAs and full armor protect SPAAs make CAS by Cannon pretty hard, even for yak9k. After it moved to 5.3, I noticed that most of players will be shot down when they just get 1-2 kills, for 335, that might be worse, also like ME410 or HE219s

20mm with ballistics surpassing MK103 (French dual 20mm truck, R3, SUB I-II, Amx 10P), 23mm that is also better than MK103, Soviet 30mm with insane ballistics and Chinese with like 40% more range than Ostwind and by far the best ballistics in the entire BR bracket. Everything one-shots. Everything but Soviet 30mm has insane ROF.
Cannon CAS works, but it got extremely difficult, unless you’re facing Germany, as German SPAAs have dogshit range, and Brits/USA.
I’m not sure if the belt bug still exists; all of the shells’ muzzle velocity depends on the first shell, and then the APCR belt could make MK103 superpowerful, recently When I was using Kugelblitz, I felt that is super easy to shoot down CAS with this belt.
The full armor spaa is still the best one against CAS, because they are hard to kill by cannons, even YAK9K needs to approach pretty close range to destroy them, such as Skink. rockets and bombs also need to drop very accurately to make sure they destroy that, so it is fair enough.
But to be honest, the CAS system damaged Germany so much, which made Germany spend the highest SP cost on those CAS as heavy as a brick
Kugel gets additional 100m/s but bleeds that velocity extremely fast.
With that added velocity it is still outranged by everything else.
9K has to hit Kugel’s turret, side or top. But yeah, it has issues scoring kills from 1000m away against it and Stink. This makes Kugel kinda effective. Still, compared to Chinese 5.7 SPAA, Kugel is a joke. That thing will just delete you from across the map.
