Anyone else disappointed by this vehicle? The cockpit model and internals are atrocious. The plane is so slow that you get eaten up by even the weakest of fighters because you can’t climb or dive due to the rip speed. It sucks that we just got given a plane that’s been sitting in the files for years that isn’t really unique or interesting and isn’t really competitive at all.

Did you seriously expect a bomber to be worth using? Is the PBM-5A the first bomber you’ve ever played or something.

Some bombers are quite fun and can even be good against fighters. PBM is not one of them.
Even the main prize this time is very standard, and arguably should have been tech tree instead of the 95% copy paste M109
Yeah, my biggest gripe is the quality of the vehicles too. We’ve all heard the discussions of how the sholef is poorly modeled, and the PBM is no different. The cockpit looks like it’s from a PS1 game

You can probably count the number of bombers that have fully modelled cockpits on one hand. Gaijin uses the excuse that bombers cockpits take too long to model, but I don’t think it’s an unreasonable excuse, though I think they could do a better job of making placeholder cockpits a bit more bearable to look at. Some decent textures would go a long way.

I definitely understand their perspective, bombers aren’t popular and don’t bring in tons of players. It would be nice to see some updated “default” cockpit parts and controls that could just be pasted into the not fully modeled cockpits, so they don’t look so barren.
