Because you’ll fight a T90M in your Leo2A4 then if all western tanks get lolpen rounds. WT is structured on having more or less the same capabilities at any given BR (wishful thinking I know). If 829A3/4 and DM63/73 get implemented it would mean that all leos/abrams should get pushed out of the BR range of russian tanks. Essentially making top tier a point and click NATO civil war 24/7
According to your “statement,” the Leopard 2A7V is equipped with Btech+D2 armor, not the Swedish version. Could you please explain why the upgraded A7V from the A6, which had Ctech armor, is now equipped with Btech?

How is that justification to gimp vehicles, and lower their stats, give the Russian vehicles the ariete treatment at that point and remove it from top tier, as if they would suffer with the 90m and bvm pantsir, su27 etc
the only tanks i think that should have better rounds are tanks with little armor like it used to be but gaijin seems to think otherwise when they gave one of the most survivable tanks the best round in the game doesn’t mean well protected tanks shouldn’t have good rounds but there needs to be trade offs idk what happened to the idea of glass cannons like old ariete
They gave the russians everything current models could get. They’ve gimped NATO tanks so they could play together in the same BR range because surprise surprise, it’s a game

the 2A4 doesnt even get DM33 (a round that was around that the same time the 2A4 was the baseline tank of germany) it has to use DM23 against T-80Us 90A’s and 72B3s (2 of which ave access to 3BM60) and one having 3BM46. Those Tanks also have armour protection.
the 2A4 cant even get DM63 programmed into its FCS without having it modified…
so if anything those 3 are running around LOLPENNING … not the 2A4 mate.

M829A3 was made specifically to counter ERA. That was the entire point.

It really depends on the sources they put forward and if they are open to a discussion about their sources it could be good.
But that would require willingness from the devs/CMs and self control from the playerbase.
I don’t think you’ve read my previous post at all. The whole point was that DM63/73/-829A3/4 is/should be lolpen against the best armour that russian tanks have in the game right now. That would mean that if you want to also implement correct armour for Leos and Abrams all current top tier russians tanks would have to get pushed down in BR to compensate. The issue here is that NATO is gimped so that russian tanks can fight on an even footing.

the problem is 3bm60s doesn’t have to fight t80s and have it shatter on internals or bounce off breaches 3bm60 in general is far more consistent than ofl f1 is
M829A3 would be fine if the SEPv2 doesn’t get it’s DU hull armor.

Why do you think the military requested that the limit be taken away and made unlimited in the first place? to not make more use of the DU? its not like that limit disappeared by itself, they specifically requested it removed.

Why gaijin always want to ignite your player base by ignore all relative sources and telling us there no actual proof ? By using a old report to judge a tank which release 20 years later and choose to ignore so many report out there , just WTF . Telling us US didn’t improve their tank armor since 1980s even many people giving difference sources of proof . It just amazing , so no more money I will be given at this point .

Stona, its not about the Developers having a different opinion than us, its about the fact that their opinion does not matter if the supporting evidence says otherwise that we have compiled for literal years if their claim to fame that Warthunder has subscribed to for so long is “historical accuracy”
They didnt give us an answer we didnt want, they gave us an answer that is wrong
If the reporting guidelines were truly “1 primary or 2 secondary sources” MOST problems we have would be fixed by now. Its truly difficult to see that this guideline holds its value when information is simply denied base upon “belief”. This is also kind of an issue when exact specifications are specifically classified, and the only information available IS mostly secondary outside of vague government department documents which corroborate the same thing secondary sources do.
