American F-15E Strike Eagle Engines

Now that we are getting the 229’s please go over to the F-15I thread and vote

I believe the F-15I has 120 CMs extra. But now it’s about “Do the 120 CMs offset the 6 AGM-65Ds”

(No it doesn’t)

Rich of you to say “broader balance” when anyone not on F15E’s team will suffer as the F15s will be able to go Mach 2.3-2.4 and launch aim120’s (arguably the best fox-3s in the game) carelessly and then incase things go bad a and the f15e finds itself in a dogfight, a striker will still be able to be competitive against fighters. It’s not only the fms that are the problem; its the total nerfs to Russia and other which all added up to cause this. One example is the shit Radars which takes too long to scan - or the r77 which can barely reach targets at 25km.

Funny how they don’t get the happy news of “better missiles!”, “better radars!”…

For the broader balance indeed!

Let’s GOOOOO
Thank you

I will reiterate, the F-15I is coming already. The US’s F-15E will more than likely be on BOTH teams - the F-15I will more than likely be on ONE team.

That is not balance. The F-15I still exists and will create more imbalance than if the F-15E does not receive its 229 engines.

Again, I am all for Flanker/Fulcrum FM buffs. Go create a poll and I will vote in favor of them getting buffed.

The depressing thing is, we Israeli players are probably just going to have to accept being worse now, because we can’t put the same degree of community pressure on like US mains can.

I am happy for them they got their engines. I am sad for us we’re still Pantsir food.

Now that you sobbers are happy, where are my SPICE bombs and Popeyes

I agree that the broader picture is pretty heavily skewed towards US Teams, and has been for a while for air RB. The caveat is that if the Israeli F-15E gets the good engines then there is little reason to artifically withhold them from the US version.
“A striker” being able to be competitive against fighters is perfectly reasonable, especially for the Strike Eagle considering its literally a beefed up base F-15 that retained much of its a2a capability on purpose. You wouldnt complain about an Su-27 thats able to carry more bombs staying competitive in a2a either

you are literally saying something like this:

“Both teams will probably have f15es so all planes should be fine!”.

Also I’m going to say this - I am not talking about the flankers or fulcrums I’m talking about the bigger picture. For example the Gripen or anything that is not f15E; wont stand a chance against the aim120 + Mach 2.3 off the rail.

Watch seeks video on how op the plane already is.

I’m glad the f15e exists, but in terms of gameplay the new engines just do not fit in.

They should do what they did to the 29SMT; give the planes (f15i and e) their engines but without the additional thrust. Should be fair since they did it to the SMT

I never said this. I said because the F-15I exists the F-15E should get its 229 engines.

I never said all planes will be fine. I am saying it’s better for both teams to at least have a chance at having competitive platforms than guaranteeing only one side has them.

Seek’s video is from before the FM nerfs. From what I have seen with the new FM it is more tame than beforehand. I do not doubt that the speed will be crazy, but I do expect it to be more tame than it was before.

If Gaijin needs to make it so the CFTs are a permanent installment on the F-15E (and F-15I) for balancing reasons, so be it.

I would actually support permanent CFTs to make the thing more unique and true to historical use, while also making it less of a completey upgrade to the F-15C in everyway. IRL they never saw any combat use without CFTs since those contain critical hardware for its bombing capabilites

They didn’t at first, however recently they have begun removing them to take the place of the F-15C for air to air missions

Really? I only ever saw info on them (rarely) removing the CFTs for transfer flights if at all. Thats interesting
You got any links I could look at?

Just checked, yes it does have the extra cms on the dev server thankfully (it didn’t initially iirc)

This is where I originally saw it, however it is recently and we have the F-15C in the game. Honestly I don’t know, I would like the option to take it clean but I know I’m going to use the cfts a lot for bombing runs in sim battles

Well, this is some really great news
And this gives me little hope that US Hornet might be introduced to game with GE402s as well.

Aint that neat
Bit new to be a consideration I’d say, though besides historical use theres nothing really stopping any F-15E from being used in a2a only to begin with after removing CFTs so the implementation ingame is at least consistent with gaijins methods

Honestly I would understand locking the F-15E/I with the cfts, however I think that would cause another poll and post because technically it can fly without them

Right, I do think it would generally be better for the health of Air RB to make em mandatory on the E/I, but alas
