Alpine Aviation Tech Tree

i see it as a free pass now when it fills a gap, screw sweden they shouldnt be the only one. Switzerland/Alpine arguably is in a worst state then sweden

If more “Tested Only” vehicles are added in the future, I will seriously consider adding the Gripen. Thank you for your opinion.

so just gonna leave the giant gap in the tree, when there already are multiple precedents of gajin doing sth to fill this in multiple trees.

I would also like to add in regards to the Gripen is that the only other alternative to the tested Gripens is the ALR Piranha which isn’t ideal either in the eyes of Gaijin since the Piranha’s never passed the mockup stage

To give a TL:DR of the ALR Piranha for people who aren’t aware of it is essentially Switzerland’s attempt to make their analogue to the Gripen being developed Early 1980’s

IIRC there was a scale flying model, but that may still not be good enough for Gaijin. We had tried suggesting the P.1216 some time back, which actually had components built, but they wanted more evidence, which we simply didn’t have because the documents are still classified.

According to the data I have, the Piranha Y4-A has made the most progress in development. The SNECMA Larzac M74-05 engine was selected as the engine for the Y4-A. If the M74-05 engine was produced, the Piranha Y4-A could also appear in War Thunder according to Gaijin’s standards.

All the detailed information about the project should be in this book, but it seems to be very rare…
