Algeria as a subtree/filler nation for the ussr

Not really. Algeria operates variants the USSR tree doesn’t even have like the T-62 Berezhok, Mercedes-mounted Rapira and KPV + Barq BTRs

we dont know but one thing for sure is that algeria bought them and built some units as you can see the image that i sent

I’m also pretty sure that was a trial unit considering yk it would make no sense for Algeria to use NATO 3 tone

wrong, this is the trial version.

and this is the first built by algeria

They are in production at the same factory that makes the Fuchs in Algeria

Makes no sense in 3 tone but hey 🤷‍♀️ the Algerian boxers kinda disappeared after 2021 anyway I’m pretty sure gajin did say they wouldn’t add any modern NATO tech into Russia and vise versa

I know.

putting the game aside. algeria military is not known to show off their stuff that 100% true.

best exemple is the actual iskander missile system, they were shown to the public at least 5 years after they got it.

same is happening right now with the s400 system, only one single image exist and yet they dont acknowledge it

Yk that’s impossible for that to happen when it comes to military vehicles they have to be transported from place to place they aren’t produced on bases the need QA it’s impossible to hide military vehicles. Missile systems are slightly different they are mostly stationary and hidden away the second they get them trying to hide something being delivered and manufactured in your country is a whole different thing

its strictly illegal to record ground (even overall, though the rule is more loose about aerial vehicles but still applied) vehicle movement, the same thing happened with BMPT 62 before it was shown in a parade, these were already aroud for years. Same will likely happen with the incoming VT-4s too, keep in mind that Algeria still doesnt officially acknowledge many of the systems it operates. as crazy as it sounds, the vehicle spotting rules are even tighter than in China

So they’re Algerian produced Boxers. Interesting bit there

Dunno Algeria is EU partner country. And politically belonging to the French sphere. No way they should be added to Russia. They have nothing to do with each other. The only thing which makes sense is France.

Definitely not France, they share probably 4 vehicles with them. It’d be a different case anyways from the British commonwealth.

I thought exactly it should be same treatment as India, Australia, South Africa and ingame GB.

“Algeria should go to France because it used to be a French colony and has more in common with France historically”

Ok then all of the former soviet bloc states and their equipment (including post 91 equipment) should go to the USSR tree…

Anyways the only Algerian/Iranian stuff that should go in the USSR tree are domestic modifications of soviet vehicles like the BMPT-62, their BTR mods, Karrar and other stuff like that. Actually interesting stuff.

Stuff like this is what i mean.

Not at all.

Army built around soviet doctrine and equipment has infinitely more to do with the latter that was just occupying them up until an independence war, the only thing tying both.

Those are part of the Commonwealth, with good relations with Britain and armies built around UK’s doctrines, which actually make sense.

Algeria sub tree to France is probably about as offensive as Korea sub tree to Japan.

Agreed. Though much of Iran is built on domestic modifications to their shah era equipment.

wow why is Algeria for Russia/USSR? It would be better to add some jets or tanks to France, similar as India in Britain. Algerian Su-57E would be very interesting

France has no ties with Algeria and given the history it’s also an offensive pairing like “Korea to Japan” or “Poland to Germany”, and France already has the Benelux subtree and will be getting the F-35. Algeria is almost entirely Soviet/Russian equipment, using their doctrines, is also one of their closest partners and was even built (as a country) by taking example on the USSR political and social system, so USSR makes far more sense. Beyond that, India was justified by being part of the Commonwealth, having an army built on UK’s doctrines and very close relations with them (Even though I would have preferred a standalone Indian tree)
