Possibly exaggerated, thats a pretty huge jump considering it would actually require more reinforcement, as well as additional weight from other systems like radar and RWR. If it was actually that much lighter there would be a decent jump in range
And TV as a source… might as well use history channel to say F-22 is not affected by gravity due to reverse engineering alien technology
It’s slightly different, since this is State-Owned Media dedicated to the PLA.
Sadly, China doesn’t let a lot infomation about their planes out.
But if you have anything other than assumptions, I’d be glad to see them.
I think even Gaijin used them as a source there is a little bit of a empathies for it to be true because before it was all Chinese flankers are Soviet copies and if you open the hood you will see everything written in Russian. That is definitely not true Chinese flankers use domestic parts and systems.
I hear there mothballing a lot of there oldest flankers (ones with Soviet / Russian background) and replacing them with J-20.
CCTV7 and Chinese military newspaper / magazine is a lot of time the best information you can get out side of maybe intelligence stuff.
Well, both gford and nimitz are in the initial devserver files. So that 's neat.
To keep in mind, all three new carriers are using the 9M311 missile and AN/SPS-48 radar as placeholders currently. The Type 730 and Type 1130 CIWS are in the files, but Fujian is using the AK-630 as a placeholder also.
New carriers in the assetviewer:
Fujian has the Type 726 decoy launchers in the Xray, and the AESA antenna too
USS Gerald R. Ford also has AESA modelled - multiple different sized arrays
USS Nimitz made it in !
