Is it just me or do others see the way this new UI elements for SAMs could be applied to Carriers controlling squadrons.

I was seeing more as a use for ship launched anti shipping missiles. Ofc replace the radar screen with a map and allow for drawing flight paths and you could totally apply it to carriers, although I worry that’s a little bit sea power, naval warfare in the missile age.

I can see that too. But I kinda hope that won’t be the case. Not too keen on staring at a map the entire time

What do we think of possible BRs for WW2 carriers? Most of the planes are obviously low to mid tier (don’t think any are over 6.0), and at a too hogh br, they may be severely outclassed by jets brought by other players.
Any thoughts?

Escort and other small carriers maybe 4 to 5. Larger and fleet carriers maybe 6 to 8. But that is me just basing it off the current way naval BR’s work. In my ideal world the lines are split into big ships, medium ships, small ships, stuff like that. So for example a ww1 battleship would have a similar BR to a ww1 destroyer. Avoids ww1 BB’s facing ww2 BB’s that slap it back to the dry dock in two salvos.
That would mean something like Shokaku, which only carried A6M Zeros (various versions) as fighters would come to fight things like F-80’s ans 262s all the time

I guess we’ll get to 9.0 but what would gaijin even put there? Would we be truly in the cold war at that point?
Probably some where around 3.7-5.0
