i would thrust 2 r27ers with a all aspect pd radar to get kills over any aim54 or aim7f launched from a f14. aim9h is better than r60m in asb tho

Yeah definitely me too but only against experienced players.
The average player will die to either so I’d take the f14
i disagree, vast majority of my aim54s in arb get no kills, most just get defeated by mountains or simply chaffed, in sim thought aim54s are good. but in rb theyre dead weight, the only reason i bring them is because if i dont i feel like i should just play the hornet f4s or f15a

talking about aim-120c thread pretty sure there was a guy that post a thread regarding about 120C flight characteristic
i was gonna check it out but the thread was locked by a mod w smin/headnaught profile, so it was probably either of them - they comment “breach of user guideline/agreement” or something in that manners
so 120c sekret document flown under the radar
this is all for ejector racks witch are not modeled in game every missile lunches as if it were from a rail i have 2 videos and the og source for the guidance delay being .6s rather than .3s. that change was pure negligence by the devs.
i think the elephant in the room is gaijin, what are they basing the maneuverability perfomance of the aim120 on? clearly it has nothing to do with the maximum g pull it has

they need to loosen up a bit on modern shit bc all new additions will have almost no unclass docs to go off of they need to do some more critical thinking about proposed changes.

The nimble subsonic AMRAAM/IRCCM slinger at 13.0 that has tons of CMs? That’s the plane we’re comparing to the plane who’s most consistent missile is the SPARROW? The plane with a vastly better radar and that’s basically only lacking a gun when it’s very bad in furballs anyways?

I don’t get why people cry about stat cards missile max G overload. Go watch a replay and see what actual Gs missiles can usually pull.
Missiles manouverability in the usual sense is not about G overload but about being able to turn with high AoA at slow speeds, at slow speeds the missile can’t reach high Gs because its slow, at high speeds there is virtually no reason a missile would need to pull more than around 20-25G to intercept a manouvering fast jet unless the missile loses lock and somehow re-locks at very short range while being very off course, but that almost never happens and when it does the missile probably won’t have energy to pull more than 25G anyway.

gaijin really need to just buff 120a/b aoa and revert back to the dev 120c
120c stats on dev was good, hell it was also pretty balance, but then people cry because “US favour again” and gaijin instantly nerf it to shit

It the first dev server the 120c was essencially a PL-12. A bit worse range than the 120A/B but almost as good manouverability as the PL-12.
The first iterations of the aim-120a were also quite decent in maneuverability
i got in a match yesterday in F14A with AIM-54A i fired them sub 10k feet at mach 1.2 and they hit people have genuinely never been worse full 13.7 uptier
kills where JA37DI premium and a J11B and F16C
also i remember dev 120c has a really good loft profile that make it excellent at range as well
if gaijin dont want them to be busted in manuverability atleast make them better than aim-7
Nimble is less about FM and more about responsiveness and size of the aircraft.
How good do you think the harrier one fm is.
Vastly worse than the f-14.
Surely it’s smaller, but it’s certainly not as manoeuvrable/responsive
