AH-64E Bugs, suggestions, feedback

“The JAGM-MR missile bus incorporates the new electro-mechanical control actuation
system and a minimum smoke, boost-sustain solid rocket motor for improved kinematics and maneuverability”

Missile should not have a smoke trail like it does currently, and should be a boost sustain motor.

16km is from a static, surface launch, it should be capable of ranges in excess of 16km otherwise.

Bruh. Why people always can’t understand than max speed is pretty much useless number. It’s already faster than hellfire although the first 3-5km most likely they fly about the same time.

4:09 8600m lauch - 4:40 hit
8600m - 31s

hellfire 8k lauch
8000m ~ 37s

I don’t even have access to the dev server. I’ve just made a general statement

If anyone has the E unlocked would you mind making a video of the missile with the chase cam for reports, I ground the 1Z line and not the 64 lines so I cant use it sadly.

No missile is capable of going over their static launched range sadly.
The mythical 11km AGM-114K shots I’ve tried.
12km Vikhr shots I’ve tried.
4km TOW-2 shots [within 3.7km where it’d hit] I’ve tried.
So on and so forth.

the 16km is from a static ground launch, it should absolutely be able to go further if launched with some forward speed at any altitude

I doubt Gaijin will ever implement that sadly.
Though it’d be funny to see people claiming Russian bias when Vikhrs suddenly went 2 - 3km more.

they have implemented that, if you hover in av8 and fire a maverick it will go further when you are at a higher altitude, it is only certain weapons that have a limited distance traveled where there wont be some variance on range with launch altitude

I saw something along the lines of ranges in excess of 16km from Lockheed. Remember, 16km is only the farthest theyve tried that we know of, not necessarily the max range of the missile

Mavericks are ranged for their at-speed range in-game, not static.
Helicopter weapons are universally ranged at their static range in-game.

The CIRCM system is modeled as a ircm when its a DIRCM

Got rejected because the following slide isn’t authoritative enough, apparently.

AH-64E V6 Radar 2

I can’t track down the actual prestation it’s an excerpt of, but the slide is from;

For the modeling of the performance Characteristics of a Tulip type shaped charge( IBFS warhead), it be worth referencing the following patent;

It’s a “gaming convention” that Height of burst sensors are treated as proximity fuses, thus as the JAGM has a HOBS, it follows that it should also be conferred said features.

Page needed for the report to reopen ^

I have the PDF as well, but it’s too large to post

Thanks, will do so shortly.

Ok, the revised report is up; added a second source that range extension is intended.

thank you for making the report yourself, however i still think it is poorly worded

i have a source that explains the working principle of the this fusing option and its really just referred to as HOB but works very differently, also sometimes referred as HOB/PROX

i will edit the OP with the links to your reports soon.

I don’t mind, it’s better to get a report in early and build on it post-facto. If need be.

I’m only working with what I could find, and it “should” be sufficient though adding a link my report in when it is written to build the case would help if you have more detailed documentation.

I’ll link the functional description of the M728 fuse, for comparison purposes. As it may prove useful.
