was facing a match against MiG-29s whose radars are listen in game as I-band, one of the the bands the HARM is supposed to be able to track according to the in game stat card, but it can’t lock a mig that’s even outright tracking me like, at all.
Update: looks like it’s tracking none of the radars of that family in spite of them being listed as I band.
so uhh anyone else having this issue?

Hey,
HARMs are not only meant for tanks they can target any vehicle that emits radar or ECM signals, which usually includes radar-equipped ground vehicles please don’t try to use them against helicopters, ships, or aircraft as if they were ATGMs. 🙏

thought it’d be funny if it worked since the other guy wouldn’t be expecting it. unfortunately it doesn’t lock aircraft I bands which must be different from ground I bands or something.
they seem to work fine on ships. haven’t tried em’ on helicopters yet. thanks for the reminder to try
Why not? It worked during the original run of nuclear thunder and it was incredibly funny. Now it definitely did not work well by any means, but it was still really funny to slap a mig 23 out of the sky who thought it was just an aim-9l he could avoid by popping a single flare.
