I agree it’s unlikely in the near future, and I’m not suggesting Gaijin will suddenly remove India from Britain. My post is about the long-term future after Korea, not the next update. As for the legal point, I don’t think there’s any evidence that Gaijin would be legally prevented from reorganizing a tech tree if they chose to. Games regularly change progression systems, tech trees and vehicle placements over time. Whether Gaijin wants to do it is a different question from whether they can. That’s why I framed it as a discussion about future possibilities rather than a prediction.
India simply does not currently have any ground venicle that would be worthy of a br above 11.0.

Where Koreas were announced?
Answering the OP question.
My factions of choice are:
- Poland + sub-trees from central europe.
- Turkey + sub-trees form middle east.
- United Koreas.
All three are better than adding another European country as a sub-tree just because of 2A5/2A6 gap fillers or another T-72M1, Leopard 1A5 etc etc.
Israel is in a sad state and will remain there as their allies are already in game. They should stay an USA sub-tree tbh.

Different issue altogether, as removing subtree from techtree is nothing like changing BR placement of vehicle inside that TT.
Not to mention currently removes vehicles like israeli premium centurions and pattons in liue of addition of israeli TT were already thin ice in this regard, and these still were entirely different situation as announcement of israeli TT came after their addition.
They clearly dont want to however, seeing as they officially announced india as subtree.
Look man, i dont have anything against the idea itself, i just think all this energy would be better spent on anything else than matter which is pretty much settled all things considered.
If you wanna continue talking about standalone india, best of luck.

If Korea comes next
With Gaijin’s statement announcing Korea it was of course the main focus for a lot of content creators, but a lot of them failed to actually look into the relpies on the post, which left a very large piece of information to not be acknowledged.
This is a fact, Gaijin will be planning to add more tech trees. But they only mentioned Korea, so we don’t know what other nations are planned.
And this ended up kind of back firing, since the community now expects a Korean tech tree soon, yet it was a long term plan which again, many content creators did not cover, so people aren’t aware of this.
Which leads onto the issue with them announcing what other nations they are planning, which they likely won’t for a while as they seem to be focusing on other stuff and more nations are in their long term plans, not their short term plans.
I can only speculate that they will be planning to add Poland in some sort of form (wether combined with other tech trees or alone), since I have this information from a old interview, how ever “plans always change”.
Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and LATAM are some countries which I believe are also planned to be independent nations.

- Poland + czech
- Turkey
- Spain (or Brazil?) + some south american nations

One issue with all these subtrees is several coalition trees are no longer options (V4, Iberian, Alpine etc).

India as a sep tech tree would be quite fun, it will have the best of France, US and the Soviets while ofc including indigenous vehicles as well and modified vehicles too but creating a whole new tree would take time and effort and we all know how hard working the dev team is for tech tree vehicles also there are trees like Israel which is mostly empty so before India could even become a sep tree i think the devs would add it as a subtree to Israel or Britain (somehow) like the Finnish line in Sweden but their current plan for the sub tree in the British tech tree is just dumb, Britain alr has a lot of vehicles and a sub tree of just Indian vehicles would not be possible simply because there isnt any place for more vehicles and the Indian sub tree would be very diverse and will make Britain one of the best nations to grind and the British tech tree alr looks like hell tbh both air and ground i hope they add a separate Indian tree soon tho at least we finally got the modern roundels and maybe some decals so that’s good i guess.
