Abrams Blowout Panels (not protecting against ammo detonation)

They deleted my reply lol

ww2 mg151s are the only realistic 20mms ingame selective realism is real shvaks do same damage as 30mm cause realshatter but mg151 doesnt get that

If you are so adamant on your version of reality not the actual footage captured from real life, SHOW US THE SOURCE where it clearly states that it only protects from a few rounds cooking off and the so called BLOWOUT plane protects only from fires.

Youre barking up the wrong tree mate. Smin is just the poor sod having to sell the incredibly questionable decisions made in devland

Here is the problem, this is poor moderation, the mod refuses to provide evidence and has not passed on the evidence provided. Not all mods are bad, most are great. But, Gajin needs to do better here. The whole point of the system is if you provide a source in the format they ask for and it is accurate, gajin will listen. They are failing theyre own system.

well is 10 not enough?
smin you should tell them to either set the limit of explosion higher or remove it
e.g like
say 30 apfsds and 5 heat would not kill
but 20-30 heat would kill
there should be a clear and concise limit for this
one of the bug report give a video and the number of round is 24 apfsds and 10 heat, which the blast door fully resist to its capability and blow out panel works
also blastdoor/= blowout panel

If this is the case, is this also applied to apfsds darts in hull storage? Is it now possible to just simply use fpe to put out ammo hits rather than the two normal outcomes of black ammo disappearing or instant kill ammo rack explosion

I think Smin has just reposted whatever the dev response was and legged it from the thread. If so, this tells me the following:

  1. The devs (or at least the one providing the responses to these questions) don’t understand physics.

  2. The devs refuse to depict non-Russian systems or mechanics if they cannot understand how they work. See factor 1.

  3. When sources are provided to the contrary, they regard them as Marketing Lies.

This is something of a recurring pattern…

Sorry Smin, I may sound a little annoyed at times with this decision, but there needs to be sources here for this decision. Remember this, with the DU hull inserts. It was a perfect response to the community [Development] Hull Armor of the M1 Abrams - News - War Thunder

You’ll need to do this type of devblog again for this, as the response here has no evidence to back up it’s claim. In fact there is video evidence refuting it

its going to be
“We understand and care about your feedback”
for the 6769420 times and nothing will change

its just a constant back and forth between gaijin and the community, just gets proper tiring

The bug report site is not a place to discuss something. The moderator provided the answer we have from the developers, which is that this is not considered a bug and provided you the full developer response as I have done here.

Its not a case of good mod / bad mod. They have provided you with the developer response that we have and redirected you to the forum, which is the place for discussion and feedback. Not spamming reports on the CBR.

so the devs are just straight adamant that what they’ve done is right. Come on mi bredda

These types of Development Blog Posts/Treads are great.

They provide a lot of information, and you get a peek into the thought process behind why things are the way they are. When it comes to controversial changes/additions, ie; Turret Basket, KH38MTs, and now this they could control the discussion and have a centralized spot to gather feedback from the community for a specific change that they’re questioning.

Sadly, if you compare blog posts from back then to now, it definitely feels like they’ve lost the passion of communicating with us.

We did actually have a full post on Turret Baskets too: Responding To Dev Server Feedback Regarding Turret Baskets

Word, threads like this are good is my point.

That is the reason the most I did was form a very emotional report against the answer.
I now know the answer was poorly translated rather than being malicious, though it felt malicious in the moment even if that wasn’t the intent.

I understand what you are saying Smin. But, evidence should always be taken seriously. Otherwise, there is no point reporting anything anymore. I don’t hold people responsible here, its just immensely frustrating. Please try to convince someone to make a devblog, like the abrams armour devblog. That is the best way to keep people onside and informed.

I doubt it’s just one user targeting us, but it’s certainly at least one person trying to frame users as flags are anonymous.

It’s sad that we get false-flagged just because people don’t agree with us.
I do my best to only flag off-topic and posts that personally attack you and others, because personal attacks and off-topic rants don’t help our discussions IMO.
