The response from the mod about what blowout panels protect against doesn’t make sense
Honestly Gaijin’s selective realism bullshit is laughable. Its like they do a coin toss for what mechanics should be realistic or not in War Thunder.
Would be VERY nice if Gaijin provided all the source material/documents they use for every vehicle ingame. WW2-Early/Mid Cold War vehicle documents would be easier to find, but not late coldwar ig
Im also talking about the ”under the russian law bla bla bla” thing
I think he’s just making fun of Gaijin and how you can’t say anything bad about Russian equipment under their law.
Although Gaijin is now headquartered in Hungary
lol yeah that part was pretty entertaining, seeing as how Gaijin isn’t even centered in Russia. But also, that’s the reponse from mods that’s been officially made, and it’s puzzling especially with the documentation and video evidence available with test footage in side an abrams tank during cookoff
Indeed, it would be fun to be a fly on the wall in Gaijin’s office to see what stupid reasoning they used for this change.

So you insulted another user out of the blue and then are surprised that your post was flagged?
Lmao
He didn’t insult me.
He got false flagged by Just Baron in order to frame me.
It’s obvious Just Baron has an agenda to nerf Abrams as the primary reason he’d comment on a post that’s about me is if he was involved in its hiding.
I try to correct an error against one of my favorite tanks and I’m the one that gets insulted.
Nope i didn’t intend to insult anyone. i just wanted to discuss with the forums why his bug report got taken down and what the bug reporting manager’s reasoning was.
And i was certainly not trying to be offensive to the bug reporting manager or Alvis
He didn’t insult anyone. I was there before, during, and after his post got hidden. Just overzealous forum users misusing the reporting features (in my opinion.)
It feels like with every update there’s an issue like this. But god damn wasn’t expecting it to be this bad.
and its just as stupid as before
Reasoning? I think we’re WAAAY past that point.
This is the same bunch that looked at a 1970s Igla (basically a glorified firework hammered together in a hurry) then worked on the assumption that nothing could possibly be better. The logic? A stinger/mistral kind of looks like an Igla - so they must be identical in terms of performance.
Slow clap
pretty sure heat and etc dont really matter right
since the door is to protect from ammo cook off anyways, so it would be strong enough to resist explosion
but honestly i dont really know and i dont know why they go all the way out to do this when the other issues of abrams still isnt fix
correct
That’s complete cobblers, frankly. The person typing that doesn’t seem to have the slightest clue what they are on about.
They’re called and specified as BLOW-OUT panels. The whole point is to BLOW OUT by a sudden pressure wave of ammunition cooking off, giving it a path of least resistance to the atmosphere.
In some ways that explanation they’ve given is even worse…
I agree that they need to fix alot of things on the abrams but i lowkey still just love it anyway, it’s the only tank i play so it probably isn’t weird i like it but still.
But they need to fix the blowout panel problem,
honestly we need document to prove that abrams ammo door or leopard can still protect against ammunition explosion
im pretty sure they were design for that also since most tank still carry heatfs
