A4E is a attack aircraft that doesn't get any ordnance as stock?

I was wondering , why an strike aircraft such as the A4E (early) [The squadron one] doesn’t get any air-ground ordnance as stock , only 200 bullets os 20mm and a dream, it just makes you lose all the potential of the plane , modifications are already a garbage mechanic locking the main features of the vehicles and on this case which is probally not the only case this happens makes up for one of the dumbest stock grinds I’ve ever seen in this game, with me being forced to dogfight in a strike aircraft…

It’s not horrible for air-to-air, although the A-4E and especially the A-4B are overtiered.

They are not overtiered.

They can only go down if they lose their 9Bs.

However, having the Sabre/Migs being undertiered doesn’t make them feel properly placed.

They could both easily go down to 8.3 and not cause any trouble. Although, I wouldn’t be opposed to A-4B losing its Aim-9Bs and going to 8.0 or 7.7.

bruh

The US doesn’t need another undertiered plane around those BRs. They both can’t go lower than 8.3 even without their 9Bs, any lower would undertier them significantly.

They don’t really have any at that BR aside from Saber, and the A-4s wouldn’t be undertiered if they were lowered.

Which is undertiered just like the F-84G, F-84B (due to airspawns), and the F-89.

Unless they remove their missiles, they will be, and they would be undertiered if they went lower than 8.3.

The F-84s are fine where they are, and F-89 is a premium.

I already said that.

being forced to dogfight in a strike aircraft

A-4 Skyhawks are actually not that bad at dogfighting, They are light, nimble and have a great roll rate. You just have to be careful if you decide to rate fight or dogfight against certain enemy aircraft that either have straighter wings or lower wing loading since the A-4 is a delta winged aircraft and typically loses a lot of speed in the first circle or turn. The 20mm ammo count and low-positioned guns are something you will also have to get used to as they aren’t the most hard hitting from what I experienced (the gun pod modification helps but with more added weight).

I watched a A-4E outmanuevere a Vampire yesterday, most majestic thing ive ever seen.

Probably the best US pilot i have seen.

Seriously? Just pop a few light pills for the first module.

Hitting targets isn’t a problem, the lack of damage is, played a SIM battle with the A4E and hit some dudes quite consistently but the best I got was a crit without a single kill , you might say its a skill issue but i bet any plane with 20 mm deals so little damage like that did

The A-4B is incapable of handling AIM-9Bs IRL, so they should remove them, yes.
However it’s missing shoehorn project flares but the devs don’t care, it ain’t making them money lol

They can and have though. There’s historical accounts of it.

The A-4E is also missing AIM-9Ds + ability to carry 2 x more Sidewinders on pylons to my knowledge

true. But here we are, the stuff that isnt making them money doesnt get any love.

@Pangolin_Fan well, that is true but the fact the devs refuse to go by any precise modification year/ block (other examples like F-4E are affected as well) is the biggest issue here tbh.
