A10 heavy cruiser (cruiser Mk.II), more armoured but slow

I own it. Lol.

Regarding armour it’s hard to say if the original A10 is 30mm front plate with a 14mm mantlet or 14mm front plate with a 14mm mantlet. A10A is a 30mm front plate and a 30mm mantlet (though the mantlet could be more in traditional British fashion).

I see, very interesting, i already liked the A10 as a tank, in my opinion it looks better than the Cruiser Mk. III and IV, but the armor profile is the main reason why i want it, maybe the mantlet is thicker on the Mk. IIA, hull down it could be a powerful vehicle. I can’t wait for it…

Gaijin please :(

This tank, A10 (Cruiser Mk. II) and the A9 (Cruiser Mk. I), are my favorite tanks from the start of ww2, i don’t understand why both of them aren’t in War Thunder yet… they should be in game already for how important they are for the british tank development, and just from a game progression point as well.

The A10 specifically would be very interesting, it has 30mm of armor for the entire front, but i recently discovered that it has a type of rudimentary spall liner/composite armor all over the tank, because the armor is riveted to a soft steel “skin” essentially creating a spall liner or composite armor. This would be very interesting to see in game!

This video from the Tank Museum talks about it:

There’s so much that’s missing from the British tree and it’s a shame because it could absolutely rival the big three for content.
