Okay, your goofy made up on the spot requirements for what is valid to say copyslop is bad do not matter to me either, I spaded everything so that nerds like you wouldn’t go on later to say “well aktually you didn’t spade EVERYTHING”. Further, I’m pretty sure my german MiG-29 with R-60Ms was not spaded at all and only half played when I started the Italian challenge to spade everything… like I’m not going to respond about this again get better arguments
Israel still does fine as a tech tree despite not having a 14.7 currently. USA also does not have a 14.7 currently. China barely has one. Gen 5 is a hard line in the sand and everybody will need one for the game to be fair especially since they are not going to cut off gen5s from seeing gen4.5 in matchmaker

The GE could easily be a 14.7 and even if they don’t have a 14.7 they have 3 rank 9
They also have 3 rank 9
And current top tier is a hard line that Isreal cant do anything as the top aircraft is a strike aircraft

You want to talk about the Leopard maybe? The best and most successful MBT of the century? How it is export to dozen of countries that are in game as subtrees or tech trees? Would you protest when the Leopard 2A8 getting added to France and Sweden?

- Did it do something important for the tech tree to justify its position
- Is it DIFFERENT in SOME way to the existing vehicle besides skin

Greek basic Rafale EG and BG can carry Exocet, only the Naval Rafale can do that in France or so I have heard

Technically, you are correct, the two Magachs you are mentioning are the Magach 1 and 2, however, other versions are also very similar, such as the 3 and 6. I was attempting to highlight the fact that an over a dozen vehicles in the Israeli TT are M48s and M60s, with the same speed, same weakspots and same penetration.
Is Rafale even a good example of the copy-paste problem?
The issue is when imported vehicles fill a niche that could just as easily be filled by unique domestic designs (M44 vs Hummel/Lorraine 155 mle 51, Leopard 1a5 vs AMX-30c2, etc)
I’m not as familiar with 14.0+ jets, but for countries like Japan I don’t see there being many domestic alternatives or variants

This is by far the best solution +1.
It would basically remove all the perceived issues with subtrees, while still giving them the opportunity to help in lineup building.
It also gives both subtrees and main nations room to have their own domestic designs as well as foreign-based ones, without taking slots away from each other in the techtree.
