A probably very stupid question for naval nerds

Like I said, probably a pretty stupid question, but… is it possibly possible to intercept/blowup an active torpedo in the water? Perhaps its a misperception of the nature of torpedoes, (I see them as a sort of aquatic counterpart to a bomb, which can be intercepted by SPAA) or is it actually possible

I’ve seen it done. German raft at close range did it. It was very annoying.

IIRC there were guns made for destroying torpedoes, yet not in game as far as I’m aware, but you can hit torpedoes in game with guns.

Other counters are torpedo netting which catches a torpedo, although again not in game technically.

What I mean by that’s two points, in EC around spawns zones is an invisible barrier that stops torpedoes annoyingly (except under 400 metres) & most early capital ships have torpedo nets on their models but are not usable.

On that note, gaijin when torpedo nets for dreadnoughts & the addition of Boom Defence vessels? (Bar class H.M.A.S Kangaroo P80 when?).

Better question is it possible to earn mission score in naval… kinda stupid that 3 kills 8 assists and 12k damage is around 800 mission score when in ground the same is around 2500 and in air 3500 score…

Makes farming 20k mission score for the BP kinda obvious as a “buy the BP or get lost” scheme

Im preety sure its possible but very hard
