The new multi-vehicle SAM system would make this much more worth it

I would support this implementation of this relatively famous SAM of the Cold War. Though I wonder how effective it would be against later modern jets?
There would definitely be a need for at least 6 missiles, because 2 would be not enough for sure.
This Strela-1M is still used by many nations around the world.
4 are on ramp and 2 are in storage. Thats 6 + another 6 from ammo box. If it will be implemented as multi vehicles SAM (2 launchers) so then its 24 missiles together.
It won’t be a SAM battery as it can operate on its own. A “SAM battery” in-game is a launcher that can not operate without a guidance vehicle. Now I do not know if these had a dedicated search radar like the Strela-10, but they did not come with their own passive detection radar.
I don’t know of Gaijin stating anywhere that they will only add this for vehicles that can’t work independently. And even if they did mention it somewhere, it wouldn’t mean anything considering that they changed their opinions over time.

They’d consider it provocative. Its the exact reason why they have a Croat skin for the Praga, but not a Serb skin. Which is also technically equally provocative.
It only makes sense, why make it more complicated when they don’t have to? But, I am not a Gaijin employee, so I do not know.

Its not entirely complicated. Search radar is big buff for Strela effectivity (for RB/SB). But there should be a possibility that the radar will not be needed for operation.
I mean they should definitely introduce the search radar for the Strela-10, but not as a physical vehicle. As they clearly stated that any supporting equipment (which this radar is) will be modelled outside of the battlefield. Or some such variation.
Search radar doesnt count (irl it count but in this case not) like supporting vehicle like in case IRIS-T or that American one. To this category they meant command vehicle and reloading vehicle.
