+1 Considering its Hungary’s only homemade SPAA if i remember correctly, it only makes sense for it to be in the Italian Tech Tree and its honestly criminal that it wasn’t added when the Hungarian Sub Tree was added to the Italian Tech Tree

Proper SPAA sure, but there are still a decent handful of gun trucks and other Hungarian anti-air options that could be added to Italy.

You can see most of them in the Hungarian tree forum proposal, and yes, Italy does have a few more options for low tier AA that have yet to be added.

I think adding this would get more people to play Italy at least in the low BR. I wouldn’t mind if it becomes an event vehicle.

Well if It would get the muzzle loadad grenade, then it’s suddenly a 2:1 arty-spaa. The kind of things you see in events. Now that’s another question if they would care to implement it, but I really hope we get a techtree version.

With the couple of minor Hungarian low tier aircraft (1.0 - 5.0) being added to the Hungarian sub tree in Italy for the Ninth Wave update this march how likely do you guys thing gaijin is to adding more Hungarian low tier ground vehicles like the Nimrod this year or with next 1-3 years because this looks like some sort of hope?
I don’t think we should be any more hopeful than before. I bet Hungary does not get anything ww2 for anorher 2 years after the update.

Pretty much my mindset as well. And then when they do get something it’s probably just gonna be some russian sloppy-paste, too.

I don’t think this changes the chances, because this was just them adding the low tier Hungarian aircraft for the first time, to fill in a gap in the tree that they promised they would fill out way back 2 years ago when they added the first half of the Hungarian air subtree. As such, this is a case of adding a Hungarian air subtree (but just part 2/2), rather than expanding a Hungarian subtree. So far, the only Hungarian researchable vehicles that have been added after their subtree was already released were the Leopard 2A7HU and Strela. Obviously there still is chance and hope for more (domestic) Hungarian vehicles to be added to expand the existing subtree, but this update is not an example of that happening nor does it suggest Gaijin has intentions of doing that.
My bet is that they now view the Hungarian subtree as “complete” and will either never add any vehicles to it again (worst case scenario), or will only add a few here or there (although the 40M Nimród is likely to be added in this case). They might eventually decide to add a Hungarian/Austro-Hungarian naval subtree, but I imagine that’s low priority and we’d have to wait several years for that at best. Best case scenario is if they don’t view the Hungarian subtree as complete and will eventually significantly expand/improve the ground subtree, maybe add a few more aircraft, and eventually add a naval subtree, although since Hungary is a subtree of an already smaller tech tree, this would probably still be low priority, and we’d be waiting many years for this. I think their priorities for the near future are even more top tier (rank IX air, then ground maybe), infantry mode, naval rework/submarines/carriers, more nations (new subtrees, Korean tree, maybe Poland after all these years), and only after all this might we see Hungarian vehicles being focused on again. Gaijin has to juggle too many different interests and additions, so they can never dedicate full focus on any one thing. They probably view Hungary as being sufficiently well done for now and will work to please a different crowd.
I doubt we will get more Hungarian-Soviet copy-pastes, except maybe the IS-2 because a researchable heavy tank is needed, and they might not bother with the 44M Tas. Or maybe Soviet SPAA system to help the Italian tree’s SPAA situation. But other than that, I think they have added all the Soviet sloppy-paste that they reasonably can; I don’t see any reason for them to add any more.
For now, the best we can hope for is for them to slowly trickle domestic Hungarian vehicles in one by one every now and then in updates that focus on something different, and in a few years time to get a larger batch of Hungarian vehicles, like the naval subtree or a serious expansion/improvement of the ground subtree.
