In my opinion this will be an amazing addon for air simulator battles and it can make 2 seater aircrafts more unique and fun, but for other gamemodes I dont see it helping, But as I said I think this will be a great mechanic to air simulator battles.

It will be very hard to balance and model it in other gamemodes without making the gamemode unplayable for standalone players, Sim is the only way it can work and work really good

Imagine BF-110 g-4 or P-61C in Simulator.
One flies the plane and the other has acess to the radar screen.
Would be fun to put your friend on the baby cage (Firefly observer seat)

I think it would be for dead squadmates (or any teammate if you turn that on) so while it wouldn’t be a kill to disable the gunners nor would the gunners themselves get the kill, the gunners and enemy planes would get partial kills for killing each other while the bomber pilot would collect kills like they do off the ai now and the enemy would still have to destroy the bomber or kill all pilots to get the kill credit.
Something close to this was already passed to the devs :)

The way this could work is that one player would join a game, chose the vehicle and get all the rewards and the other player would just join for the fun.
This idea would not be a bad idea and could be further expanded upon; however i believe it is a feature that would take time to implement. However, it is a good homage to Gaijin’s beginnings when they made an IL-2 game.
It would be greatly useful for vehicles with more than 1 pilot, such as bombers. Since you could have a full squadron of players flying a B-17, for example. Does it make sense? Yes, but should it? yes. Cause it’s silly.

Could also work for Tanks and Naval. 90% of the time your gonna get a pile of bad uncoordinated players screaming at each other over discord then you get the 10% who are really well oiled. Could also be fun for Gaijins league events. I will see if there is one suggested for Tanks but I did make a image a while back of the ground concept. The Youtubers will get a kick out of it for a month would sort of be a party mode would also allow people to bring lower BR players to top tier without the usual stuff happening.

I have thought about tanks but you would have to have the one person as comander/driver and other as gunner/loader (loader does nothing anyway but you get my point)
WT can really take a few pages from MTC’s book to becoming popular for actual co-op

Would basically be one player controls loading / targets the other driving. Would still likely be fun when it works.
No, I have thought of this and that wouldn’t be very fun. The driving player doesn’t have to worry about much, I guess MTC shows that’s not the case but the reason I say a commander/driver is because they have a battleplan/idea of how to approach, a bit like an independent tank in MTC (if this happens IRL then they are in shitty situation) the commander will assign the gunner to targets and will decide whether to push (tactically or strategically) and the gunner can focus on identifying enemies and friendlies (at least more dedicated to it) and engaging.
Maybe if we have a mode for this (or setting like we have now in the hanger) then single players that want to brawl still for the extra challenge can get a small helper like a ground auto-tracker like has existed since the 60s.
For naval it can pretty much work the same or similar.
For aircraft, this suggestion was obviously more made for that. One thing that I would be so glad to have, is just to see the WSO’s cockpit. I really want to be able to look at it in-game but can’t due to… laziness? I think laziness

Not much else that could be done so it’s easy to understand. Still would encourage screaming over discord as your driver refuses to stop so you can fire.
