HISTORY
The vehicle is by Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace being named “Utah Vehicle” but the vehicle itself is an AM General X-LT3 light tactical vehicle wich then is developed by AM General. Its a vehicle designed to be lightweight and durable, but aslo rugged and versatile. It was first seen in 2+19 when it was shown at the AUSA - “Association of the United States Army” wich is a private “Non-profit” organization wich serves as the professional association of the USA Army. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace attended this mess in 2024, where we could see a couple combinations they had made, this is the first time we have seen this specific combination. The 70mm rocket launcher has been added instead of the usual 30x113 chaingun, and the 70mm rocket launcher has been placed instead to show its potential, as these rockets has proven themselves useful in combat in the ongoing war in europe.

This suggestion is for the vehicle with the 70mm guided rocket launcher, and as far as i have understood it after watching articles and videos published by Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace itself, i have understood it so that these vehicles has been mounted by Kongsberg themselves with the purpose of demonstrating them for the international market. The weapon station is most likely some sort of crows, but due to them being different from those i believe this might be either a prototype or early variant. The vehicles were fully operational.

From earlier events at AUSA we can see this kind of vehicle has been used by Kongsberg, and we saw that some of them was labeled “XLT3-5” on its side, but in the interview the spokesperson for Kongsberg is saying this is a SRTV-SXV-XL from BC Customs so i’ll have to assume that it is the one. The stats are similar, but there is not too much history to find about the vehicle.

An interesting note
This vehicle can with its system control 3 different weapon stations on 3 different platforms! for example drone vehicles and other trucks or vehicles with weapon stations, it also has situational awareness, to among other stuff avoid friendly fire! this was demonstrated in one of the videos i have linked to.

IN GAME
This could be an interesting vehicle to take part in an Norwegian subtree or techtree and serve as a light tank in the higher tiers. Its mobility is superb, but it has absolutely no armor and every thing and everyone are exposed to fragments ant other stuff, wich will severely limit its use. The rockets will increase tis vehicles firepower quite a bit and proably compensate for its downsides. The worst thing is probably to only have missiles to rely on.

I am working on finding more information about the 70mm ammunition but it’s not ready yet. But it can be fitted with several warheads and its said to be able to penetrate a T72 from all sides

So could it use any 70mm rocket ammo or just special ones?

I am still working on that, but i know it can fire both guided and some unguided rockets such as the Hydra 70mm rockets with arpund 300mm of penetration, and laser guided ones with several warheads such as HEAT and other anti tank ones
