HISTORY
The Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace is one of three companies under the Kongsberg group and is a continuation of Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk. Kongsberg makes products for both defense and aerospace, and has over a number of years developed a number of very successful products such as the Naval Strike Missiles, Penguin ASW to mention a few and the market leading protector series, featuring multiple families of remote controlled weapon stations and turrets , which countries all over the world have already started integrating on their vehicles and vessels even.
As a result of constant development and new ideas and to get new customers, they regularly have demonstrations where they show potential. This wagon is one of many different! This is an Mowag Eagle, an 4x4 wheeled armored vehicle which is Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace’s own vehicle which they are driving around demonstrating and exhibits around the country, sometimes abroad. This vehicle has been seen in this configuration before, but then only without the radar and different paint on the weapon station which is this one, and it also got one 40x53mm Heckler & Koch grenade launcher integrated in an Kongsberg RS4 Weapon station. This version does not feature the radar or the green paint. Under the video folder, the vehicle can be seen shooting at targets at a shooting/testing range located in Norway, most likely Nammo’s own range in 2020.
The Mowag Eagle is a series of wheeled armoured vehicles which comes in many shapes and forms, such as 4x4 and 6x6 with different engines and configurations and which are in use all over the world. It was designed by the Swiss company Mowag from around 1995-2000.
IN GAME
This vehicle could either be foldered with the one featuring a radar or possibly be an premium or event vehicle. It would be an unique vehicle that requires a different kind of playstyle, it also got access to both airburst and heat rounds that can penetrate up to over 65mm of RHA armor, and will this be able to fight against many armored vehicles, especially light ones and low flying aircrafts including scout drones.
