HISTORY
The Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace is one of three companies under the Kongsberg group and is a continuation of Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk. Kongsberg makes products for both defense and aerospace, and has over a number of years developed a number of very successful products such as the Naval Strike Missiles, Penguin ASW to mention a few and the market leading protector series, featuring multiple families of remote controlled weapon stations and turrets , which countries all over the world have already started integrating on their vehicles and vessels even.

As a result of constant development and new ideas and to get new customers, they regularly have demonstrations where they show potential. This wagon is one of many different! This is an Mowag Eagle, an 4x4 wheeled armoured vehicle which to my knowledge is Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace’s own private, which they are driving around demonstrating and exhibits around the country, sometimes abroad. In the picture we see the Mowag Eagle in Norway, having an Kongsberg Remote Station 6 integrated. it is armed with an 30x113mm M230LF Chain Gun, one 7.62mm FN MAG coaxial machinegun and an additional 127mm Javelin Anti tank missile launcher on the outer rear side of the station. The weapon station are operated by a crewmember from the rear left seat of the vehicle.

The Mowag Eagle is a series of wheeled armoured vehicles which comes in many shapes and forms, such as 4x4 and 6x6 with different engines and configurations and which are in use all over the world. It was designed by the Swiss company Mowag from around 1995-2000.

IN GAME
This could be an unique vehicle for either a Norwegian subtree or tech tree, which would serve as an light tank, maybe even as an SPAA, as it looks like this is able to fire airburst ammunition, to among other things shoot down drones. The skin of the vehicle like all the others will feature the Kongsberg logo and other small details.

I love the idea of remote roof mounted gun turrets. Behind a hill, save shooting at the enemy. Tho i fear the 30x113mm Ammo as Main armarment will be on the weaker side. Tho with ATGM.

it is basically the same cannon as we find on many of the ah 64 helicopters in-game, just with more and different ammunition, i am not 110% sure about all the ammunition this cannon can use or their specific performance, i could not find that but it has the heat rounds that penetrate 51mm or so, not much effectiveness against heavier armored vehicles but it should be able to destroy ifv’s, the atgm is a fire and forget missile, 760mm or so in penetration, would be quite similar to the current spikes, probably the one thing to save it xd

I mean, yeah, tho low velocity (relatively) and compared to other 30mm guns low pen. And unlike Choppers you cant really shoot the roof.
