HISTORY
Hägglunds Bandvagn 206 is a vehicle developed and manufactured in Sweden, it was constructed by the company Hägglunds and the first variants came in the early 1970s. This vehicle then consists of two parts, a driver’s car and a rear car where you can either have soldiers or weapons, depending on the need, but in the original package they came for troop transport. the wagon is hydraulically steered, and there is operation on all 4 belts on the wagon, there is also the possibility of low series. The cart can also float and drive in water, but then a few preparations are required. With all this, the pram has an incredibly good five-way ability in all terrains, both water, mud and snow, as it is small, light and flexible.
At the beginning of 1990 the Netherlands acquired their first BV206 wagons for use in the Dutch Marine Corps. In the picture I attached above, we can see a Dutch BV206 participating in the multinational NATO exercise “Battle Griffin” some time in 2005, Netherland had brought these wagons themselves. In this exercise it played a role where they had to deny the advance of some armored OPFOR units, and for this purpose, the wagon had mounted an ATGW GILL/Spike MR from the Israeli company Rafael on the roof of the rear wagon to be able to fight the armored vehicles.
