10,000 lb "Pumpkin bomb" for B-29 Superfortress

More generic design choice, impossible. Should be a nice addition to the B-29 to make it worth bringing into matches, bombers need a better treatment.

you mean democracy bomb? hell yeah +1

+1 why not

foolish little Ha-Go, taste 6,300 lbs of Composition B!

A +1 from me! We need the big democracy bomb asap

We need the Pumpkin bomb and the Grand Slam, with their inert versions for squashing 279s into pancakes

it can bring two right??

+1 yes UK have 12LB
US could get this one easily

Object 279 can be killed by 250LBS+ bombs direct hit but not 5M or 10m next to it because it can stand the shock waves!

it no longer stays alive after getting bombed directly

would be nice being Britain gets the 12000lb bomb

Can a B-29 actually carry 2 of them? That would be hella worth bringing the B-29 to the insane BR it’s at.

Since this bomb was designed mainly to train the usage of the Fat Man, only one were carried per each B-29 in real life. Though in theory a B-29 should be able to carry two of them.

you techinally won’t really need 2 that amount of TNT in 1 area is enough, and I remember the B-29 also can carry 2 Atomic Bombs aswell.

A quick addendum to my comment. For the bomb to be carried, we would need the Silverplate modification in-game, wouldn’t we?

If you get this flying sewer pipeline to the battlefield you deserve to big bang. +1

Here’s the image of the Little Boy being loaded into the Enola Gay’s bomb bay for reference.

Basically, the main difference between the “Silverplate” version of the B-29 compared to the base version is that it removed almost all the defensive armaments to save weight for the long range mission they were meant to take, while the bomb release mechanisms were only modified a bit; they kept the original bomb bays of the base B-29 variants, including the unoccupied one as seen in this image.

So, in theory, it would require only changes in bomb release mechanism for the base B-29 variant to carry a Fat Man-type bomb or similar weapon, which is already demonstrated that it is possible via the Mark 6 atomic bomb we have in-game.

absolutely should be added, I dont know why the US dont have any of their extremely large bombs in game yet despite having made some of the most insane (eg t12 44,000lb bomb)

Ah, fair enough, easier to add the thing then

depending which nuke is module in game, is it fatman that’s used?

Speaking of the T-12 Cloudmaker…

I’ve found the only image of the Cloudmaker on the B-29 from Popular Mechanics, so I think I will suggest this thing later.
