  1. On can argue that doing with 1 BR per aircraft model is a non-sense. If a Chinese P-47 is supported by other better climbing, better turning aircraft and without 5 attackers and 4 bombers taking that many fighter slots each game, it will not face the same conditions as a US P-47.

  4. What are the setting value for your WASD inputs ? And just in case, the ones for the mouse joystick? As I cannot reproduce, I am trying to find a reason why a full override input such as WASD appears not "smooth" on your rig. Although, the gif is not the best way to showcase it, due to the low frametrate

  7. The only thing non slatted in the F-4E is the visual model. Performance wise, it is a slatted version post 72, and visual rework won't change that.
  8. Hi. If the aircraft is repaired after rearming, the weapon on the damaged wing won't be installed obviously. You need to go through a second reload timer, after repairing the aircraft. I'll see if that logic can be improved though, as part of another similar report (for F-84 and air spawn having similar issue)

  13. As I said before, server replay do not show much. The client replay previously attached was however crystal clear how you froze, as the freeze was "preserved" as well. Can you please do once more, when playing, with the addition of an "enhanced clog": 1. Start the game and login etc and wait for hangar screen to load. 2. Press these keys together to start the profiler "Ctrl + Alt + F11". If it doesn't work, try "Fn + Alt + F11". These three buttons together turn the profiler on and off. A third option is to use "Alt + F11" if your keyboard has no Function key - Also for Linux. You will have a feedback that the profiler is running on the top left of the screen. 3. Play several games (at least 3) with the profiler on. 4. After the end of the last game please press "F11". If it doesn't work, try "Fn + F11". "F11" with no Function key - Also for Linux. This will write the information to the clog. Please include this file with your report. You will have a feedback that the profiler is saving the data on the top left of the screen. 5. Press the combination that started the profiler again to stop it. Refer to (1) for the possibilities. You will have feedback that the profiler is off. Can you then provide the clog file, replays and (if possible) video of the graphic events. This will record the interactions between your client and the Game Servers in more detail to assist the Developers and the Technical Moderators solve your issue.
  14. A little bit of both. Lateral (in this case frontal) G load is not causing any Blackout or else. It shouldn't anyway. There is no reason to make a pilot blackout out of a maneuver which would not do that. At worse, you would have a concussion (about the same as a 12G blackout I guess). How to implement and effect barely documented and that has no direct effect on a pilot, except spinning the head ?
  15. You can "double bind" regular shooting key and primary / secondary keys without issues. I have myself left and right click bound for small / large guns respectively, but also primary / secondary weapon when activated. Instead of small / large / additional / (all) / rockets / bombs / A2A / ATM / shräge, you can technically use only the weapon selection system (if you wish) and that reduced to 5 bindings instead of 8 (9). I guess it is a matter of preference, but the new system is in my opinion a reduction in workload and key spamming, as everything can be set with 5 mappings, and I don't rocket + bomb + A2A in the same time anyway. Answered and locked, feel free to submit any suggestion you like to the relevant section, as per their own local guidelines.

  21. Hi. I looked at both replays Everything was fluid with he server replay, but your local replay certainly showed an issue. Can you check that you don't have a key binding overlapping, that would cause some stress on the GPU . either IG (game shortcut) or from a 3rd party software (like NVidia taking a snapshot or else). Can you also try the following: Cache emptying + verification of game files: 1. Exit the game. 2a. Right click on War Thunder Icon and select "open file location". 2b. Using File Explorer/This PC - navigate to the War Thunder directory on your computer system. 3. Locate the 'cache' sub directory in the War Thunder directory and delete it. 4. Restart the computer (rp attribution bug). 5. Run the Launcher and allow game to update and analyze Files. 6. On the launcher, click on the wrench, top right. 7. On the menu appearing, find the "Check files" button, should be about middle left. 8. Wait for the scan / repair. 9. Log-in again and check if the issue is solved. Config.blk deletion: (will reset graphics settings) 1. Exit the game. 2a. Right click on War Thunder Icon and select "open file location" 2b.   28. Hello. WT is a game and has some simplifications embedded when it comes to G tolerance. It is only applied vertically (in reference to the pilot) and do not consider the horizontal component. That said, the aircraft would revolve around its CoG, which, with a tail / engine gone, would have shifted a lot toward the crew, putting it at less than expected, in a way that is highly inconvenient, but not making them loose consciousness (as the blood is not drained away from the brain). This is also an extremely rare occurence of an extremely rare event. Funny enough, nobody complains when they pull more than 7G without any issue, and when "blackout" is a greyout with ther aircraft responding up to 3G. A blackout is promptly followed by a LoC which lasts a lot of time (35s to 95s), followed by 45 to 120s of high disorientation (similar to a shell shock, when you see people freezing in movies, doing nothing while under fire. Basically, even pulling more than 7-8G in game should result in a 1 to 2 minutes with the aircraft flying straight as currently trimmed (and likely crash)

  30. Hi You deactivated your weapon selection after the switch. When not using the weapon selector, the default weapon order is used. for F-4, it is indeed Sparrow before Sidewinder. After switching the weapon with the weapon selector mode, you are ought to shoot with the secondary fire key bind, not cancel the weapon selection mode, cancelling as well the weapon selection consequently.   31. As I cannot reproduce, I would be inclined to say that it could be on your JS drivers or else. The cockpit Joystick follows the instruction from the real one (yours). Does this issue reproduce with mouse joystick ?

    FW 190 Change

    At this point, It might be more productive to go on the Russian thread and confront the devs directly as they do read the comment more often than here I am merely the mail man, which is time consuming for me and not productive for anyone. I can relay information, but that just adds layer of waiting time and I dilute the information every time it goes forth and back. I don't know what is the design weight for the 190 nor when the transition from can stall (full fuel) to "is stable and won't stall without help" happens
  38. The ripping happens when you force roll with an aircraft having a large angle of attack. Typically, pull up with mouse aim, and roll. It will out the aircraft "upside down" with a large load factor and break the wing. When rolling at high speed (high roll rate), your "dropping" wing will easily reach the structural limitation. To avoid this, a small tap to the elevator while starting the roll (to make a somehow barrel roll) will prevent the wing from reaching such a negative AoA that it will overload.
  39. The fact that Cl_values are derived from a wing and not a full aircraft, making claim about what value should be used because it's laminar or not is not legit. That is the real nonsense. I will repeat myself once more: a wing Cl is like the engine raw output at the shaft. It's one thing. But in a car, you have the gearbox, the transmission etc. You can only be lower than the ideal value. And because this should have a higher raw value doesn't mean that what you get at the end of this should be higher than another engine. This has been a constant fight between Laurelix and myself. Datamined Cl_max compared to wing Cl max is not a valid way to report the FM innacuracies, despite what some believe and keep trying as an approach for reporting 'issues'. @Teh0 To answer you directly, ideally: - Documents giving stall speed, or showing that they have similar wings. That shows that if Ki-61-I is lighter than Ki-61-II, it has no reason to stall at a higher speed. Anything proving / indicating that all aircraft have the same base design. - use if forum Datasheet when available, for dimensions and performance information in complement of above / highlight if issues - test flight as a black box approach. If FM shows different value when datamined, that's one thing. But if that really is wrong, it should show in a test flight as well. Anyone can see a number and misinterpret it. By doing actual testing (and recorded so we can check that it isn't made incorrectly), you show the game output, regardless of your own interpretation of the FM variables. By providing in game testing, you prove that regardless of a value (which you should not have access as per the EULA / ToU), there is a repeated and tested inconsistency.

    Not entirely. The only "lacking" part of the FM is indeed the moving stabilizer. But in term of actual stability, the FW is historical. Making it less stable would be a gimmick to satisfy a request from the players. Edit: increasing the elevator efficiency would have almost no impact to the turn / pitch performance. What lacks might be a little more AoA if you were to trim a nose up behavior at speeds below 300-350kmh IAS. Likely at the cost of drag. Although, one can argue that - in a dogfight, the German pilot would avoid a sustained turn - would certainly not try to trim up to force a near stall and bleed speed - just like a P-51D doesn't take off with 30min fuel, a FW-190 at min fuel is generally halfway toward his base after the battle.

    That seems like a bug. Only takeoff /10° flaps are cleared up to 520kmh As per the Anton series, the current FM is not bugged anymore. Quoting some abstract from a Russian document about the FW-190A-4 from a British evaluation sent to USSr to help them deal with the FW: About stalling at low fuel: [...] put the aircraft in parachuting mode, to bring the speed up to 180 km/h, smoothly give a leg to the side [...] The aircraft has a very high stability at minimum flight speed. (approach, standard end of mission fuel) [...] A positive feature of the FW-190 is the GREAT IMPROVED of the aircraft stability when moving to larger angles of attack [...] This increase in stability prevents involuntary loss of speed. (about low fuel aircraft) [...] Heavy loads on the stick when reaching large angles of attack are explained by the fact that (when balancing at medium speeds) at high speeds, the forces on the stick are negative (pull away from pilot), the aircraft hangs on the stick (nose down tendency).   50. Hi. You already reported that issue and I already forwarded it to the devs following our discussion via PM. The devs have answered that current static thrust in game is not 7295 kgf (they actually don't know how you get that from a static). It is around 7100kg with afterburner. The current thrust with maximum reheat / Afterburner and current drag are correct and matches what is needed for the aircraft to reach its correct speed at altitude. It correspond also to Russian data at hand. I was asked by a dev to remind to everyone that static thrust is not useful beyond... static. Even if the static thrust was 1000kfg too high at 0kmh, as the engine curve changes with speed, it could be correct at 1kmh and then giving the aircraft an OP boost from 0 to 1 kmh before being reduced. In short, if the aircraft matches test flight figures (acceleration from x to y in this much time) and speed, then the thrust is to be considered correct, regardless of the static thrust.
  51. Hi. The Devs checked and are happy with the current value of the engine. The value comes Russian sources and is what is representative of an engine inside of an aircraft. Aircraft weight and engine weight are both matching documents corresponding to the aircraft in game. Engine weight (assuming that the "chipping" in your unreferenced document is "shipping weight") is obviously lighter, as an engine inside the aircraft (for weight and balance) has extra part, oil etc.

  58. Merged. I'll submit the issue to make the devs aware. Be aware that the issue is however intrinsic to the plane: it has a low G limitation (negative load) and a very fast roll rate. In one of the video, the aircraft snapped because of the negative G load. This can't be solved unless you actually roll upside down and roll again to correct the attitude. The others are due to the roll rate being extremely high. Rolling quickly after a hard turn (when you have "warning 10G" etc) will make the plane roll before it stabilizes and put it from the +6G to more than -4G snapping the wing once again. To counteract this, you can shortly tap both the elevator key and the ailerons key. That will force the aircraft into avoiding this negative inertia due to quick roll.

There is supposedly a report from eric Brown testing the FW-190 (unknown version) saying that without a significant trimming of the bird, it could not do a 3 point landing when low on fuel (unknown quantity). I have not looked up the report yet, but it could partially mean that current behavior is partially expected by the devs. Disclaimer: I haven't tested the FM yet so I don't know if that can explain or not the issue still present
  68. Hi. The blow out flaps is known to be only partially working at the moment. You cannot destroy your flaps by deploying them at a speed that is too high. You can only damage them by having them deployed and accelerating past their destruction speed. Regards

If someone actually make a proper report, not with datamined value but actual testing supported by the forum Datasheet, it can be reported.   79. I see, thanks. This is typical of a client - server desync. Which is confirmed by your ping and packet loss being far above optimal level. It could be that many players are suffering this because they all are playing with similar ping / packet loss due to the server being hosted abroad. Which country are you playing in and which server have you selected for playing games ?

  81. Unable to reproduce. Tailless aircraft goes into an uncontrollable spin. On your screen, the damage indicator on the bottom left clearly shows that the tail is not destroyed but lightly damaged. It might be due to a client - server desync

  85. I got an answer from the developers. The current stance is that marking from major nations (US; GB; GER; etc) is not supposed to be available for other nations. GB covers the commonwealth in its entirety.
  86. The roundel is not only not applicable to F-4, but any Us aircraft. The filter is applied to a nation level. I agree however that the current "yes / no" condition is quite... strange, as you can use RAFF 42.46 on US aircraft, but not the RAAF post WW2
