Aircraft Battles

  • The maximum possible number of players for each team in aircraft RB has been changed from 12 to 16.

Interface

  • A bug that made it impossible to select filters in the squadron search window has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused vehicle ranks to be missing in the talismans and camouflages descriptions in the battle trophies prizes has been fixed.

Enduring Confrontation

  • For scouting aircraft under AI control, a new logic check to fix the cases when the aircraft failed to reach the respawn point and flew out of the mission combat area has been added.

The current provided changelog reflects the major changes within the game as part of this Update. Some updates, additions and fixes may not be listed in the provided notes. War Thunder is constantly improving and specific fixes may be implemented without the client being updated.

You can ban 1 map and dislike another ones in game menu.

Why? Most people were asking for smaller teams and not bigger ones!

I'm not entirely sure what videos. But I remember that CC's like Ash, Spitflyer and Seekerhead (or Jetnoob idk there basically the same guy) have asked for smaller teams.

Is there any problems with the 12.0 match making? 12.0 queues are taking really long for me and to some people. It takes about 2 to 6 minutes average to get into a match, unlike 11.7 and below, I can queue and get into a match fast and just fine.

No better reward's now 16 vs 16 impossible to Bomb bases still only 4 more and more unbalance bad chances over all .

 

+ Fuel Capacity still low on some Jets should be fixed before adding huge maps example J35 with 20min fuel at max go to middle of the map and need to go back refuel add more options needed.

please reverse this decision, 16 players is too much.

you say decompression isnt possible due to "Long queue times" but then increase the amount of players per battle. thats kinda counter productive

May I ask what was the rationale for this change? This increase is quite significant. (I am not outraged, just curious as this change didn't seem forthcoming at all).

 

In addition, can you clarify/confirm if the limits for bombers and/or top BR aircraft in these games will be the same, or adjusted proportionally? (It used to be 4 max bombers per team and 4 max aircraft with BR matching the battle BR).

 

Considering the larger amount of players in the game, is it possible to introduce more bases per game (in respawning base gamemodes) or increase the total damage required to destroy these bases (with proportional increase in tickets depleted and rewards given based on existing values)? This would help avoid "redundant" bombers, especially heavy ones if there is more than 1 per team.

I wish to see bigger maps for top tier. I hate to play at 6.0 - 10.0 at those maps. Too much time spend doing nothing. Whats the point of BVR maps if you have no BVR missiles on your jets? Not to mention no drop tanks.

I wish for fewer players from 10.0. I feel like 4 vs 4 is minimum and 10 x 10 to be the max limit.

 

16 vs 16 is fine for props to be honest. 

 

Edit: So I played few matches and oh my god please revert this change of 16x16. This is so bad... just keep it for props and early jets. Instead increase number of bases on big maps.

Another example of Gaijin "fixing" something what isn't broken, as long as majority of Air RB maps postage stamps that are barely playable for props and WW2 jets, the number of players in each team should be brought down to 8-10 players per team, NOT raised to 16! 16vs16 should only be a thing in Enduring Conflict with large maps, not in regular Air RB.

Please reverse the player count immediately. Should've removed 4 player slots instead of adding 4. RB is WAY too chaotic on these tiny maps. It'd bad enough I just got a kill with an AIM-7D because this Mig-21 had zero awareness with the sensory overload. As for top tier being on EC maps, good change, but please just give RB EC it's own, separate mode with equal rewards, unlike current EC implementations. rename current RB to Realistic TDM or something. In my opinion, the player count adjustment is a right step in the wrong direction.

True, though this was before they changed it so the majority of matches are now big maps, smaller teams makes sense on small maps, but now that most matches are on big maps, it makes more sense to have larger teams now.

 

The only downside with large maps now is mostly jets like the J35A or the Hunter that don't have too much fuel, so big maps will not be so kind with them.

Can you please fix, aka remove, RealShatter from our ground and air cannons? 12.7mm HEF with 1g of TNT deal 200% the damage of any 20.23.27,30 or 37mm cannon. Some 20mm cannons like the M3 of the USAF deal absolutely no damage at all. And I mean no damage. The HEI at times does not even bother to explode and the most amout of fragmentation I have seen from that round was 3 pieces. This is clearly wrong and clearly RealShatter is to blame as the very same issue was present when the mechanic was tested on ADENs. And it boggels the mind how a change, which was absolutely despised, and caused multiple bug reports, was put on all cannons without any adjustment.

 

Essentially air RB in the midtiers is now reduced to 50cal spammers. And SPAAs are also much less effective.

 

How is it "realistic" that 100g of TnT exploding on a wooden frame deals no damage at all?
