Same for the bombing sight. If you have a red gun cross hair then you can't see the bomb sight change to red when over a target because it is already bloody red.

Asides from the acknowledgement ont he issue tracker I have seen no mention regarding the state of the game most recent implementation of damage caused by sub-calibre rounds. Is this working as intended? Is this the new state of play for solid shot and APDS? If so they you're about to see thousands of man-hours go to waste as no one will be playing French, Swedish, or English ground units soon... Practically unplayable due to atrocious pen/post pen in-game for solid shot.

I can't uncheck and check any of the 3 squadron search filters (details in attachment), can you please provide a patch to fix this? This options are unavaliable after install major update ,,Sky Guardians''

I have allready off all filters & is not avaliable to choose any filter.

 

This bug still exists, do you plan to fix this bug in a future mini patch or is the removal of the squadron search filters a planned change?

This update brought too many things that makes me dislike the game from playing until the next major update.

 

Sound changes - bad

The sound changes are awful. Cannon sounds are so off and wrong. Engines sounds used to be better. They just again are mixed badly and there is no feel to realism when I hear jet or prop or helicoper flying over or in distance. 

Guns I alreardy said it but guns sounds are totaly off to what it was. Also the more changes to reloads make it weird. 

I like the machine guns on tanks how they sound from inside and outside. 

The new T-64 sound is missing a bass. Many engines feel like it.

Little bird has a specific sound to its rotor blades but this game does not gets it. Its funny that any other game gets this sound right but War Thunder does not.

I do not know who is design architect but the constant changes are starting to get away from reality and overal feeling of working sounds.

 

Graphic changes - average

I like the addition of ejection seats and effects on this. Also the fire effects on aircraft are nice.

I do not like the change of condensation. Something feels a bit odd about it. 

Burn traces are way too dark and should be more transparent or brighter.

The new cone is smooth I like it but why did you stop there? It would be great to have vapor on wings and vortices. You have not even said whether do you plan to expand on this in next major updates. It just feels unfinished.

 

New content - not that good

Ground forces

The addition of new tanks is fine. However the addition of SPAAs is controversial. 

  • Praga M53/59- this is Czechoslovak/Czech SPAA and should have no business in Soviet tech tree. It would have been great to be saved for the new tech tree (Poland with Czechoslovakia as Subtree or other solution). I do not think Soviets needed this or had gap to fill. If anything MT-LB ZU 23-2 would be much better fit. 
  • Pantsir-S1 - this was not needed in the game and has been proved brutaly OP. Russia has now 2 top tier SPAAs, worth to mention premium 2S38 so it makes 3, while other countries barelly can put SPAA within each rank. Not to mention Japan and Israel is struggling with SPAA. You said that SPYDER for Isreal is too much yet you add SPAA that would fit 12.0 BR and be in Rank VIII. This should not have been a priority until Japan and Isreal get something to cover the top tier.
  • ItPsV 90 -  this is good addition but why is it in Rank V instead of rank VI? Anything in game having BR 8.0 is Rank VI.

Other additions are fine with me. 

 

Aviation

The addition of new squadron for Germany is also controversial and many before me said it already so I will save the time. I will just say that this just adds to controversy.

I do not find addition of Japan F-16AJ that problematic but I do understand concerns of player base.

 

Helis

Addition of Little Bird is nice but the unchanged grind for helis, not lowering requirements and purchase price in Rank VI of helis is a missed opportunity since all nations have helicopters implemented. Not to mention some helis could be put into brackets.

 

I do not see a reason for keeping Rank VI helicopters requiring the same ammount of RP and SL like top tier helis.

Honestly some top tier helis could become Rank VIII like Ka-52, Mi-28NM, EC-665 Tiger UHT...

 

Honestly it will be 1 year anniversary for Heli PVE feedback and first run and nothing has been changed for long time. Did you abandoned this project already?


New maps -  not that good either

Ground forces

There are no new maps. Adding different season variant is not new map. Adding season variants is good if that map is just a variant like setting of day/night and weather conditions. But adding as new map is wrong. At the same time you are lacking behind map preferencies that you introduced.

 

Aviation

It is nice to see bigger maps but why do you force it to play at lower BRs than 11? Why did you put bases so far? This killed going for bases and made it worse to enjoy. Not to mention there is no addition to drop tanks to other jets. BVR maps are great and fine for jets with BVR missiles. Also the recent change to 16vs16 is so wrong instead of lowering it to 8x8 from 12x12. 

 

I find it hard to play those maps whenever I get them in late props, early jets and jets up to 10.3. 

The reintroduction of air spawn for up to 10.0 would be nice change.

 

Keep the big maps for top tier exclusive and lower the matches to 8 vs 8.

 

The grind for aviation got worse with bigger maps since it takes too much time to get to combat zone and increased max players since instead of 1 vs 1 it now can get quickly to 4 vs 1.

 

Overal - disappointed, controversial and lacking purpose

This update did not bring anything interesting. It is rather confusing what it tried to achieve and bring to the table. Whether it is balance, quality of life changes or just content it just misses on every field too much. Update feel unfinished, without perspective and chaotic. I feel like it is time to leave the game for certain time as it does not become player friendly. I feel like the time put into the game is not valued and Russian BIAS is finally introduced openly in this update. 

 

I feel like objective and role playing according to purpose of aircraft is being killed in this update.

 

There is no change to BRs of BMP-2M, 2S38, Su-25s, and add T-80BVM to that line up that has strongest frontal armor in the game, Ka-50, Ka-52, Mi-28NM with OP Vikhrs that have been proven on the forum to be implemented wrongly, Mig-27s with their stratosphere precise bombing and using rockets now being covered from the CAS by Tunguska and Pantsir. 

 

No change or update to RWR for cockpits and increase of volume for these. No cockpits being added to helicopters and bombers for long time... yet you starting to charge more and sell more. Where is the money going? Do you even care about the feedback?

 

The lack of connection with player base is so evident that I am loosing a hope the game will improve and therefore loosing a motivation to play what this game markets and tries to sell to players.

 

Also the grind is horrible, it takes too long for one nation to get to top, it is locked behind required number of researched and bought vehicles/aircraft per rank, instead of continuous progress. It is not like I play every tank or plane that I researched or bought but I keep playing those that I am good at but have to suffer and waste my time for stupid reasons uknown for such unrewarding system instead of having fun and being rewarded and motivated to progress. 

 

I really wish you guys were releasing 4 major updates per year where 1 update is mostly focused on content following update that is mostly focused on fixes, quality of life improvements and addition of new features with minor new content addition, then again major content focused update and lastly update where it could be just mixed for Xmas time.

Location and mission updates

  • A few missions have a new layout of airfields designed for high rank battles. The airfields are located at 46 km from the mission’s centre (might be changed after collecting statistics and players feedback):
    • [Operation] Golan Heights
    • [Operation] Vietnam
    • [Operation] Sinai
    • [Operation] Moscow
    • [Operation] Pyrenees

Is there the possability that no more of these maps are being added or that we can get more options to ban and dislike maps. I really despice those maps!

Please for the love of god remove RealSPallter from non Naval guns. It is probably the worst change since Volumetric. A 12.7mm HEF round with 1g TNT now deals more than 200% the damage of a 37mm cannon with 100g of TNT filler.

For RealSplatter to properly work every single vehicle in the game, icluding naval and ground needs to be redone from the ground up. It is not sth you can just implement like that.

For the new big map for 11.0 and up its good, but why does i need to fly for 10min in my mid 50's 9.3 plane to see anyone and get pop by a a-10 and su25 with aim9l and r60m that should be minimum 10.7

there is probably more things wrong with this aircraft right now, I even read that the radar was supposed to be upgraded too for F-4S but ingame its the same as F-4j. Not sure if they were right tho

Bigger maps are great but the increased number of players isnt.  Too much to look out for now.

Hello everybody!

 

There is lot of answer and unfortunatly don't have the time to read them all. So i see after this update a lot of HUGE map in High plane BR. For me, it's interesting but 99% of the time i m not a good player i wait 5 or 10 min to go on target and die before so i do nothing, i don't have fun... i m writting this message during a battle... i m more on the internet or on my phone than on the game... if i wanted a long and real realistic map i would be on DCS... 

 

And i don't know if it's the same for you guys, but i m on the same map in the same side 3 or 4 times in a raw that's horrible when the map is 80km or more in small planes slow... So i know lot of peoples waited that type of map or game, but for me and my friend push us to found an other game to play together.

 

In fact fall 3 or 4 times in a raw on the same map every days from the update remember me an ALPHA game...

 

So sorry guys but all those things are a red card for me. I hope you like it.

Looks like new Italian naval biplane Ro.44 can't land... on land. It stumbles at the second it touches the airfield (that's very realistic, but could be bad for us Aces gameplay). It could also be me failing to land it properly, as there is no place to read how to softland.

I guess it's intended, I have zero interest in proceeding up British tree any longer. My Conway just did absolutely nothing when I shot the side of a M48. APDS feels useless now. I'm seeing not even angled shots - shots that with an APHE round would easily pen are just doing no damage at all even when I'm aiming at modules. Worst update since I started playing the game very actively a few years ago.

The update should have been delayed, this update brought in so much bugs, ground battles should have been open in the dev server.
I also would like to suggest to bring back the monthly historical decals even tho if there are new ones! Many of us don't have all of them unlocked and it would be great to obtain them in this way or just add them to the game as a base unlock!

Cons:

- Reducing the rewards again! Please don't do this anymore, the economy and the grind is bad enough already!
- Screwing up the APDS, it's still in the state before the update.
- Only Russia getting new top tier SPAA, screwing up the VT1 missiles.
- Putting SIM map sizes to top tier, Rocky Valley still in low tier prop battles 4.7-6.7.
- Aircraft engine trails
- Mach vapor effect, blocking view, broken for a few days for some aircraft but fixed after a few days, good job.
- Unnecessary changes for some aircraft's guns and minor changes of some aircrafts, TIS MA 37mm accuracy buffed, Ki-61s nerfs, Ki-109 (75mm) AP penetration nerf.
- IFV reload nerfs
- Bugged composite armor not being fixed, newly added Ariete MBT, Type 10, TXK armor still not fixed since release, Vickers Mk.1 mantlet
- Air maps ground targets are broken, can't be destroyed as easy as it was.
- HE bug still not fixed

Positives:
- APDS pen buff, even tho it broke all of the shells.
- New gun sounds are awesome.
- Wing tip vortexes.
- New X-ray, bit of a fresh look and easier to distinguish the parts.
- Map banning overhaul.
- Japan getting on equal plane as other nations, it was needed.

With the turret armour of the Merky LIC is it planned to stay or is it "bugged" and if it's supposed to stay does it mean that finally the Merky 4B and 4M will gain that protection? Considering their the same turret :dntknw:

Please bring back smaller Air RB maps. Its just boring flying 3 mins straight just to get shot down by all aspect missiles...

 

Also i dont really like the new physics from 2S6s rockets. The new inertia kinda thing made it so bad. Its so hard to compete even against helicopters.

Hello Gaijin Team, I love the new RB maps, but could you please use the space on the maps like in the EC maps and not just put all targets in the center of the map and all targets so close together. Also on those maps are at least half of the aircraft F-4's or Tornados so please add more or harder bases (3t TNT instead of 1.5t). I can't wait to see more maps with good topography like Vietnam or Pyrenees, maybe you can add the old Norway map with ship convoysThx

Why did you nerv the APDS shells that was the only good thing on the Centurions. Now they bounce on totaly ridiculous spots and have almost no post pen damage.

The last gunsounds from inside the tank where awesome realistic (i was an actual driver on the Leopard 2). Why did you replace them again with totaly unrealistic sounds. After 5 shots with this sound inside a tank the whole crew would have become numb!

I honestly do not understand the decision-making process Gaijin uses to update maps. I took a break from WT for a couple months, and when I got back after the most recent update, I found that the Japan map has been nerfed, in what appears the least-thought-out manner. You've blocked the sniping hill on the north side of the map, but didn't block the south sniping position.

 

To be fair, I'm glad you didn't block the south side, but why block either? You didn't even bother to update the map, but like most maps, you simply mark the area off-limits with a timer. As in the "Abandoned Town" map, the timer areas don't even make sense in most cases.

 

Your map changes honestly feel like Gaijin just wants everybody to head-on attack each other. Why bother with houses and terrain if we can't use them?

 

If this is really what you're thinking, why bother? Just make plain, flat maps, no obstacles, no tricky spots to get to. Heck, why don't you just make the sniping plateau on Kuban on a timer! Make the two mountain sniping spots on Ash River on a timer!
