[email protected] 60 Report post Posted February 20 So, going down the lines of the navies for USA and Germany, I found out that they lack very famous vessels, the Iowa class line of battleships with the USS Missouri, the IJM Yamato, the KMS Bismarck and the KMS Tirpitz We already have the USS Arizona, KMS Prinz Eugen, HMS Hood and HMS Dreadnought, among other famous vessels. Reasons for adding these vessels: The Iowa Class is a very famous class, the most well known being the USS Missouri. Adding the line into the regular tech tree, and the Missouri as its own vessel would renew interest in the Naval trees. She was retired in 1955, and then reactivated in 1986. Her current resting place is Honolulu, serving as a museum. The Yamato was a famous Super Battleship, much like the Bismarck and Tirpitz. It carried nine 18.1in main gun batteries, the largest ever on a warship, It participated in the Pacific war against the American Pacific Fleet, being the flagship for the Combined Fleet. She was sunk on April 7th, 1945 by Corsairs launched from the USS Essex. Her final resting place is 50 miles southwest of Kyushu, Japan. The KMS Bismarck, King of the Seven Seas and pride of war-time Germany, was the largest battleship ever built by a European nation. He was a propaganda vessel, and never meant for actual combat. On May 5th, 1941, the Bismarck was launched to participate in the ill fated Operation Rheinübung. The Bismarck and the Prinz Eugen were to engage the British defensive force, including the King George V and Prince of Wales, the battle cruiser Hood and the aircraft carrier Victorious, while Force H mustered all they could to defeat the oncoming super battleship. On the 24th of May, the HMS Hood and HMS Prince of Wales found the oncoming threat. The Hood engaged the Prinz Eugen, mistaking her for the Bismarck, while the Bismarck was engaged by the Prince of Wales. Fastforward a few days later, the Bismarck was scuttled on the 27th of May, 1941. The Tirpitz meanwhile, would continue to serve until she was sunk on November 12th, 1944. The Bismarck and Tirpitz were sibling ships, being of the same class.

The game hasn't reached that level yet. We've only recently got two 15-inch gun armed ships in the game. One is the Hood, a late WW1 to early WW2 battlecruiser, and the other is the Bayern, a late WW1 battleship. Introducing some of the best WW2-era battleships now would be too much power creep, and there's already a lot of power creep going on(looking at you, Italy). The BRs are very compressed as is, too. Power creep,Italy? What. They have the worst BBs in entire naval. Dante that explodes by single hit cause its magazines are above waterline and Andrea that isnt in its pre-war refit with 320mm guns but as she was built with the 305s. The only powercreep is Kron and 5 inch US HE slingers. 1
