Mouse jumping in menu to center of buttons or boxes

Hi,

Anyone having issues with the mouse cursor occasionally jumping to the middle of a button or a selection box when a new window or pop-up opens? It feels similar to what you might experience when playing a game on a console with a controller, where game designers might make the cursor jump to assist controller users.

I cannot reliably reproduce it, but I do wonder if it might have to do with having a browser running on a second monitor and jumping between it and War Thunder.

Best regards,

Phil

i don't think the browser is the cause of this...

could be an additional controller attached to the PC or maybe an option of the mouse (software) simulating a keyboard input ?!

kinda sounds similar to this issue - https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/513301-auto-moving-curser-in-game-menus-bad-and-inconsistent/

at least it's somehow related to the option to navigate the (mouse) cursor via the arrow keys on the keyboard i think (that (still) cannot be disabled afaik)

Thanks for that. I kinda thought something along extra controllers, though I only have Joystick and Rudder pedals that shouldn't be setup as a mouse. No controllers. Though some mouse software to use extra keys, but they are not setup for anything emulating mouse cursor movements.

Phil

I have ROCCAT Leadr who causes such problems. It occurs when i configure the extra buttons as D-input. Windows recognize the mouse as a controller.

The solution is to disable the controller output in your Leadr driver proprieties.

I have ROCCAT Tyon too - no problem with it because it has two options for the extra buttons - X-input and D-input.

Hmm, don't have ROCCAT, but Corsair mouse with programmable buttons. Which I need for some control inputs in WT. Weird thing is that for a while the issue was gone, but recently (since about 2-3 days) it has come back.
However, good to have another potential culprit posted, might still help other people.
Best regards,

Phil
