Timachinima 4 Report post Posted March 22, 2022 (edited) Horizontal screen tearing appears in the top 2/3 of the screen whenever I move my camera more than a small amount. It makes gameplay hard because it's impossible to ignore and it makes my eyes hurt. I've had this issue for a long time (months) and have never been able to fix it. -V-Sync is on. -I'm playing on a 1920 x 1080 screen at 1920 x 1080 resolution. -The screen-tearing appears at all graphics levels - from minimum to movie. -My screen is 60 Hz and I locked fps to 60 in the Nvidia control panel. -The screen-tearing only appears in War Thunder (I don't get screen-tearing of any kind in any other games) Any possible solutions? HipsterHeretic 30 Report post Posted April 4, 2022 exact same issue, I'm investigating, I only had it since 1 of April update though. EDIT: So yesterday I tried a lot of different ideas, nothing solved it 100% I also followed the current thread with memory leak or just choppy performance after last update, nothing from there helped me out. So.. today I hooked up an external monitor and the issue is gone (i'm on a laptop with RTX3070) not sure what to take from this though. HipsterHeretic 30 Report post Posted April 6, 2022 I found the problem, and a partial fix. yesterday fired up the game on the laptop without the external monitor and the screen tearing is back, obviously. That made me think that the problem might be the color profile, because my laptop is running a calibrated RGBadobe98 profile and the external is just vanila. So I turned HDR on and the color profile off and the tearing is gone. I can run the game maxed in 4k again. So try this, Color profile to default, if your screen can do HDR, try that since that also nullifies color profiles.
Saadii 0 Report post Posted February 16 I turned on HDR, it gave me an error and turned it back off automatically.. same conditions as the OP. Says: "HDR Initialization failed. The output display is not in HDR Mode" My Colour settings are set to 'Use Nvidia Settings' at 'Full Range (0-255)
