  • Stona changed the title to Update 2.13.0.109 (2.13.0.109 - Xbox, PlayStation)

Artillery should be buffed, not nerfed, now you will still see the warning "Artillery attack" and also this orange smoke. So probably it would be better if you increase the effectiveness (more rounds?) at the same time that you improve the ability of the enemies to avoid it.

Also, command vehicles should have a better artillery barrel, or extra rounds or some kind of advantage.

Can we get the saltire decal back sometime soon? It's just sitting there in a dev blog picture, taunting me.

Which one is that?

Hello, any chance we will see this beauty back in store?
I would really love to get it, since it's the only Romanian helicopter in-game - and would really love to see a BR separation in Heli EC as well, there is no room for lower BRs against Vikr-equipped helicopters and other long-range missiles.

This one:

Spoiler

Chieftain1_(Maly)_e71931cde79e9150d1377a

IIRC it's in the game as an old weekly decal (because back when there were Scottish units that operated tanks they painted it on them) instead of as a flag.

Wow didn't think that catapult bug would ever be fixed, can we expect the tv guidance control bug to be fixed anytime soon or will it be left unusable for the rest of the year? it was reported almost 4 months ago

Absolutely not. Gaijin did something good. Don't spoil it.

First impression: I LIKE it!
Arty serves a purpose in the game, but should be less of a direct fire weapon, and more of a "flush out the entrenched tanks" tools. This change emphasises that, while at the same time, it becomes a useful a tool for marking enemy prescence outside of minimap ping.

Providing a way for information exchange via ingame "real world" mechanics rather than arcade mechanics increases immersion and makes the game better IMO.

I wish we had something similar to mark enemy aircraft as well. But I'd settle for _any_ way to point out enemy aircraft - not needed in arcade mode of course, but would sure be helpful in Realistic (don't know if sim has a way t do it).

Arty change is awesome, finally fixing the rare but annoying issue of being damaged/killed by the sighting shots, and also making it more obvious where it's landing too. This has actually been most helpful with regards to teamplay, as now we can all tell when and where arty has been called, which helps with knowing when to move in on or target specific enemies.

What I'd really love to see added to this is the ability to customize the colour of the arty smoke shells, just like we can for aerobatic smoke on planes (no white option though, to prevent it being confused for normal smoke grenades/rounds).

Do you think we can get pink for friendly and purple for enemy artillery grounds?  I have a problem deciding if its enemy or friendly artillery going off.

no I'm not serious...just what we needed to do.  Mark the area we are dropping smoke on to warn enemy players.  As if the flashing text "artillery fire" wasn't already enough.  That and the explosions going on in that area... This is just another sad change trying to make this "historic" game more friendly for 12-year-olds.  There is an arcade mode for a reason, leave the arcade mechanics in that game mode.  I do not play world of tanks because of arcade mechanics and war thunder is slipping further and further that direction ever year.
