Rptd: metalish sound when shooting, not a crystal clear sound of boom

Hello, i just reinstalled the game yesterday and i have noticed that the shooting sound of a tank is way more different than it was previously, it have a metalish effect in it and doesn't sound like a tank anymore. i don't know what to do to revert it back, tried by reinstalling the game/windows too, verified files by steam, deleting the config file and the sounds folder, nothing fixed it, the only different sound is the shooting one, the others are the same.

changed the output device too, isn't a problem of my headset/monitor, same for the sound channels stereo/5.1/7.1

also clean reinstalled the audio driver for the logitech headset

reinstalled video card driver, problem is still here

changing any of the volume bars doesn't resolve the issue

tried to take another config file from a friend, same issue

deleted the sound folder, redownloaded it, issue is still there :c

If you are using the headset.  Why is the configuration set to 7:1?   It should be stereo.

because it is an 7.1 headset, not a stereo, i used the same configuration for a few years, the sound problem started a week ago

also, the problems started after i reinstalled the windows. and at the moment, i can't acces my pc because i'm in a holyday till 2nd january

When I replay your video on my sound system(not a headset) it sounds the same as my game 'normally' does.
