Uncredited hits and kills


Do you mean ghost shells? They exist... 

 

As far as kills - I have been credited for a kill where I never hit (even with arty) the victim. I have always assumed that I just happened to be the nearest when they bailed out. Perhaps something new; like they were killed by someone else, but the 'nearest' gets assigned the kill? Any more info available?

Ghost shells exist in tanks (and are infurating and have gotten me killed on several occasions) i have no explanation for those

 

And sparks exist in aircraft, which generally... Ehhh... Are due to lag and a  slight disconnect in what your client is showing you (your rounds hitting the enemy) and what the server is deciding is happening (you are not hitting the enemy) which is of course also really annoying.

Maybe it's possible that somebody else actually got the kill but often when I hit a target a few times I get a kill assist  at least but today has been weird .  Just occasional shells  firing shells and no result

I took a small break from war thunder. Since playing again over the past week, I've noticed almost every game, at every tier, has ghost shells like never before.... 

The typical ghost shell is when you quick fire at a target; you quickly rotate your turret and fire dead at the target, only for the round to seemingly glide right through it without registering.... what is actually occurring when you view the server replay is a tiny desync between the client and the server. You think you've quickly turned your turret and fired, but the server still hasn't caught up to what your client is doing and in the server replay, you fired too early before your gun had settled on the target. Naturally, this pretty much only effected high tier tanks, as they were the only ones that could move fast enough for this slight desync to occur. 

However, in the last week I've noticed this at all tiers. From low to mid to top. Even when the target has been resting on the enemy for some time, it still ghost shells. And what's worse, the server replay shows the target dead on the enemy, shows the firing animation, but this time no shell is physically coming out of your tank. I've been on the receiving end of this (where an enemy pointing right at me close range fires but nothing hits me) and I've also got plenty of footage of it happening to me. Here is just one example;
 


Essentially, Gaijin has somehow broken their own game in one of the worst possible ways.

YUP - Just had this right now!  Uploading a file to Youtube as this stinks!!     I swear the game is doing it deliberately now!, ping fine, LAN connection, not a potato PC.!

I have that that issue a few times over the last few months and when I look at the player they are always level 100 .Its like they get a cloak of invincibility at that level . Or maybe they have and that is how they got to that level in the first place . I do see some players and they are like level 16 or whatever with every medal and award going and I think Mmmmmmm !  . So is it Gaijin punishing  you for the hideous crime of 8 kills or simply a cheat ? Or is it the Ghost of Winston Churchill punishing  you for using a Russian tank ? :D

Happens all the time to me. Not to call attention away, but it's in the same spirit of broken mechanics and why I don't trust this game anymore.  This has been happening for weeks now and the main reason I refuse to even try in events or purchase battle pass. System only registers and tracks completion of tasks when it feels like it, apparently.

Yes, it happens to me quite a lot as well.

 

If I am hit, and not damaged, and I happen to crash at the runway for some reason, the last player who scored a hit, no matter how small, gets the kill.

It applies to a team kill as well. It has happened to me countless times. 

 

Here is a perfect example in this match. I scored multiple, registered hits and a critical hit on this J2A-2 before ramming his rear-end. No one else on his team or my team shot at, or hit the J2A-2, with exception for myself. When I rammed and destroyed his plane in the sky, it registered as a crash. WTF GAIJIN?!

 

You tell me in this video, if I was supposed to get that kill or not. That infuriated me. Like I said, all it takes is for one enemy to put just ONE SMALL HIT on my plane, and if I end up crashing into the ground, then the kill goes to the last player who hit me... Friendly or Enemy.

 

This video is a perfect example of Gaijin's Double Standards.

 

EDIT: The same thing has happened to me regarding Awards, especially the, 'Terror in the Sky Award'. Which goes to the player with the highest Air Kills and the highest score if that is equal to another player.
