Stuttering in Air battles

Hi there! I`m having stuttering (pretty hard),when moving my camera in air battles.

If I`m flying straight the stutter is smaller.

 

I`m using max settings,except the most intensive ones: DLSS off, SSAA-off

on 1920x1080 res

PC spec:

Win 10 21H1

CPU i7 8700

Asus Strix GTX 1060

500GB SSD

2x8 ddr4 RAM 2133mhz

PSU Seasonic GOLD SS 650W

GSYNC On

 

Fps hoovers around 85-144 (VSYNC is on in control panel)

 

Nvidia driver: 496.13 (newest)

The issue was there with older drivers also.

I hope I`ll get some response, especially after trying everything I know off.

Don`t have problems with other games.

Also checked the following:

SSD,HDD-OK...Tested via Samsung Magician and HDTune

Did a RAM check with Windows Memory Diagnostic and MemTest86-Passed OK

GPU stress test with FurMark and UnigineHeaven-OK

CPU test with Prime95 (with and without avx) OK

Temps monitored with HWmonitor- CPU max 73 Celsius, GPU 59-63

PSU is fine and working- Seasonic  GOLD 650W

Windows checked with SFC/scannow command-All is fine

SSD and HDD trimmed and defragmented

Scanned PC with Mawarebytes,AdwareCleaner and Win Defender

(I`ve got a few malwares found and quarantined,but it was an year or two ago)

Reinstalled WT client..Nothing 

 

So hardware fault has been ruled out for sure, especially, seeing other people with the same problem.

....Also forgot that I`ve tried the HPET fix..but to no vail.

try lowering the polling rate of your mouse (or USB report rate - that seems to be how Logitech calls it ^^) or have a look at this post

Actually, I`ve tried that already...My mouse is G502 Hero with 1000 polling rate..Tried lowering it,and played for a few minutes only.

Maybe I should test it longer,but It didn`t seem to help.

Actually, I`ve tried that already...My mouse is G502 Hero with 1000 polling rate..Tried lowering it,and played for a few minutes only.

Maybe I should test it longer,but It didn`t seem to help. And I don`t think its really related to the mouse.

If I`m just turning,or flying straight,it stutters...I can`t seem to find correlation between the mouse movement and stutters.

What polling rate setting do u suggest? 1000 is my current,lowest is 125hz but its jittery on 144hz Gsync

Sending a message to support will just be a waste of time, they'll ask for a bunch of logs and tests, trying to find something to put the blame on your PC. It's like talking to a robot. I'm still waiting for my topic to be approved on the graphic issues section since October 11th.

 

I've tried as many things as you did, all this started when Directshit appeared, Gaijin surely f*cked up something even more, but hey, MORE CONTENT ON THE WAY!!!!

I have the stuttering problem if I use a driver newer than 457.09 (29 Oct 2020).  457.09 is smooth as can be for my setup.

I've tried every driver since then and I always get stuttering when flying.  Using DDU makes no difference (I use Acronis True Image to rewind every month).

I can even see the stuttering in Phly Daily's flying videos.

 

I don't think it's a Gaijin problem.  If you look at the Nvidia forum then you will see a lot of unhappy users over the past year.

is there a place i can get older drivers ? on nvidia gforce drivers site  the oldest driver is june 2021 for my 1650 super.

But i did not have this issue before direct hit update , and i only have it in sim EC , every other game mode i can play movie settings with no issues, but im willing to try older drivers if i can find them.

however im still not 100% convinced its nvidia as every other game i play works perfect and even every other game mode in war thunder except sim EC workes perfect also.

i made a bug report over a week ago now and its still in moderation, hopefully it will help to find out my  issue or there issue whatever it ends up being.

I use an AMD card, dude (RX480), I'll try a driver from 2020 to see if it helps like in your case.

 

What's your PC setup?

 

 

EDIT: tried using a driver from December/2020, didn't work.

Nvidia has some really bad drivers the last year or two. AMD copped flack in past but these days seem to be doing better than Nvidia in most cases.

Not sure if my problem is related to this, but I've been experiencing a visible choppiness whenever FPS drops below my monitors refresh rate of 144hz. Just today a drop from 144 to 130 led to major uneven choppiness/ micro stutters in air RB. Ground RB has similar issues where there is a noticeable micro stutter at almost all times. I'm on a 3060ti, the issue happens regardless of drivers (I can't go back as far as @_CaptainBoom_ said)

Hey guys did you found a solution for this problem? It´s been more than a year for me unable to play Sim Air Batles because of tha stuttering problem. A reported again to Gaijin with all the files they asked and it´s been over a month without so much as a response, not even "ok  we are going to take a look". Just nothing back. This company ruined this game seriously. I am a veteram from the start of this game and one of the best Sim players in War Thunder, and saw all they did to ruined the best Multiplayer WWII game ever created. You should see War Thunder on the beginning how beautiful it was, how smooth, almost 0 bugs specially Sim Matches. It was gloriouss. EC it´s just a sad and pale reflection from the best mode Ever. This company should just sell the game to a real company.
