Hi

Appears that in Ground RB you can no longer mark an enemy position on the map as you used to.  The voice declares "attention to the marked gridzone" etc, but no mark appears, either for yourself or any other player.

Frustrating

Ok. So....

Bugs so far

  • "Attention to..." no longer shows an indicator on the map

Fix this !!! I know 80% of the players don't look at minimap... but the other 20% try to use it as much as we can

A big update become horrible by bugs like these ones

US test report as posted in the sources you have linked has clearly written 14 shots per minutes for the FL-11 turret.

Why do you insist on giving the vehicule a mediocre value rather than it's historically accurate performance ?

RoF has always been a middle ground between source material and balance.

@Smin1080p do you have any info on the new naval FCS? Because it completly different from what was on dev, release video or changelog. Is it a bug or some stopgap solution?

The JA37 used its onboard computer (CD107) to calculate the distance and velocity of a target, the autopilot was slaved to the computer, and it would fly the aircraft so the gun was aligned with the flight path of the target. This is also why the Viggen historically only had non-tracer rounds. It was expected that the computer would aim the guns.

On the dev server, this was seemingly abstracted with the radar lock lead indicator, which was hardly overpowered, and was honestly a bit finicky, but it at least mostly worked well enough to get around only having "stealth" rounds. However,  that lead indicator has now been ahistorically removed, which leaves the Viggen with a considerable handicap that no other aircraft has. The gun was meant to be used *with* the computer. Can you either restore the historical lead indicator or give it tracer rounds?

What on earth has happened to map markers??? Ok I know that everyone basically ignored them anyway... but now when I mark an enemy postition on the map nothing shows up. At first I thought maybe it's a deliberate change just hiding my own map markers from my own view, but I can't see anybody elses either.

Please fix because unlike a lot of people i did actually used to look to see where people were indicating the enemy was located (when they bothered to do it).

Why do we have to readjust the volume of the sound settings with every patch?
This is annoying, inconvenient and takes time.

Bug:
- some bushes sit 2-3 metres in front of the tank

I have a question for some technical moderator I guess?

I remember a while back when machine gun sounds were changed to where the sound was different if your camera was behind the muzzle of the gun compared to being in front. This produced a "snappier" sound when you were being shot at or someone shot past you. What ever happened to those changes? Were they reverted because it was just a test?

If I am not mistaken those sounds arrived with the same update that added the different sound for airplane engines depending on camera position as well.

Other than that, the new sounds sound amazing. They just sound a bit fast on some machine guns, such as the ones on the M50 Ontos. But the sound guys really outdid themselves, so kudos to them! Now just please don't change them again, these sound really good!

That is really the most sensible approach unless one knows the conditions under which the tests were performed.   (which is not usually recorded)

  • D.520 - Flight model has been completely updated according to the current capabilities of the physical model. Polars of wings, fuselage, fin and propeller blades have been recalculated and refined. The moments of inertia have been clarified.

Is there any way to get some clarification on these very welcome changes? Perhaps a link to the datasheet or graph used? I've been looking foward to refinement on this planes flight model for a long time! :D

It certainly feels quicker and a little snappier in turns. Still it's hard to put my finger on the exact changes.

Spotted what seems to be a visual bug that only seems to affect bombers.

It may be hard to see clearly, but bombers, such as the Bv238 seen here, appear as a big blur, which can at first glance appear as damage, which can be confusing early game. It wasn't there last patch, and now it is. Though minor, I would certainly like to see it fixed please.

With all the premiums in 9.7 battles now. MIG 19 is basically useless now.  Can't catch them, Can't turn with them. Don't have AAMs and not enough ammo. LOL! it's like a door stopper.

Yes.

The nametags are crazy bright and hard to see.  I find purple the best for the enemy, but can't find a readable one that doesn't hurt my eyes, and look bad, for friendlies.

Also it seems like planes burn fuel quicker.

The 109G2 eats fuel like a 300 pound man at McD's.

Ok. So....

Bugs so far

  • No more grass in ground battles
  • Huge black something in the sky on the Carpathians map
  • "Attention to..." no longer shows an indicator on the map
  • One round in air arcade had me without showing any enemies - they were there, downing me, but both the roster and the sky was empty for me
  • Minor glitches like eternally burning chopper parts in the sky

Bummer since it was running oh so nicely for the last few weeks.

I'm having the issue with the "Attention to..." marker as well.
