V-Sync Greyed Out?

I used to restore default values from the NVIDIA control panel (up to the right, in all settings, I do not know which it worked) I think the error is by "GeForce Experience"

A mi me funciono restaurar valores predeterminados desde el panel de control de Nvidia (Arriba a la derecha, en todos los ajustes, no se cual funcionó) creo que el error es por "GeForce Experience"

For future reference / google searches may this post save your soul.

1) G-sync does not work properly in windowed mode if you have any Reflex setting enabled. G-sync + Reflex however does work in Fullscreen.

G-sync On, Reflex Off = Windowed

G-sync On, Reflex On = Fullscreen

2) V-sync does not work in windowed mode or fullscreen if you have any Reflex setting enabled, it is grayed out.

V-sync On, Reflex Off

V-sync Off, Reflex On.

Reflex is quite redundant in a game like War Thunder, G-sync and V-sync smoothness/frame pacing benefits should always take priority if you are wondering which too choose imho.

The sollution is, to turn off the nvidia reflex in the graphics settings. This will enable the v-sync option.

I found that deleting config.blk from the War Thunder game files fixes it somehow.

I went to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder" and deleted the config file. And when I restarted the game, the Vsync wasn't grayed out anymore and it let me turn it on again.

Hey all, I'm having difficulty with the VSync option. It was working fine not one day ago, but now I discover that the setting is greyed out and doesn't seem to work. The framerate in game exceeds my laptop monitor refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Few key details:

  • Everything I changed, be it the game settings, config.blk, or NVIDIA control panel, didn't fix the issue. When I capped my framerate in the control panel, the screen started tearing.
  • I take my computer from home to my university in my commute. At home I have a 240 Hz external monitor that I plug into, but I've never had problems with the VSync when switching back and forth until now.
  • I did not recently update my graphics driver. After I noticed the problem I tried updating my driver but that didn't change anything.
  • Restarting my PC and game didn't help either.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I know it's not super dangerous but I'd like to avoid reinstalling my graphics driver unless as a last resort. Any other ideas for solutions? I want to say that maybe the VSync is working regardless of what the FPS meter says, but the option being grey makes me think differently.

turning off Nvidia reflex low latency fixed the issue for me:yes_yes_yes:
