Information Over Lays and Real time Information in SIM tournements

As almost everybody is aware, there are a number of softwares out there that leverage information from the local host stream and display it over the War thunder interface. This is not considered illegal and is not a cheat, it simply reads information that is freely available from the local host port 8111 interface.

Speed, climb, Angle of Attack, turn Radius, flap flutter, wing flutter, prop efficiency  .  .etc etc.. loads of stuff and audible alerts and complex alerts with multiple dependencies.

I understand, that in normal games, people are experimenting and learning and generally all levels of players in dissimilar aircraft are playing and it evens the field a bit, so its ok.

Does this actually belong in Tournaments?

No, this should not be allowed in tournaments and players must me made to compete on the Raw interface of War thunder in these matches.

It will be a simple thing to return war thunder to its raw inter face by preventing the stream on Port 8111 local host for tournament Matches.

Lets get back to just speed, cockpit shake and the sounds and true experience and spirit of WW2 aircraft.

Truly agree with you.

Someone even doesn't know about it(newers at tss).

It will be more fairly, if Gaijin make using wtrti in tournaments impossible.

When young pilot learning to fly and experimenting, or making bug report it is all right, but in tournaments a lot of people(mostly RB players) using the count of angle speed to "fight" an opponent in horizontal maneuver (just turn-fight btw and nothing else), that lose a lot of time to get experience.

(Hope my english not so bad)

Upd: i think using wtrti in custom duels (to training with a friend) it is all right too, but i think it will be more harder to make impossible using wtrti in tss duel rooms and possible using wtrti in custom duel rooms(or maybe add a button "allowed using wtrti")

Wait, that screenshot looks familiar :DD
I do agree with disabling the internal web server for tournaments
but not just because of WTRTI ... it's much worse than that ...
people can and apparently do write maneuvering scripts using the information from the internal web server
you can either make it software based, and run it on your system, and use vjoy to manipulate the axis values and provide virtual ones
or if you want to make it hardware/firmware based and undetectable, you can make a box using a microcontroller, that goes between your joystick and your computer and modifies the USB packets on the fly, based on information it gets from game's web server through LAN, and limits your axis values thus your G and AOA ....
basically a G and AOA limiter like modern aircrafts, that would let you either fly on your limits all the time, or maintain and fly at your best sustained turn speed etc ...

Yes, it is yours from the discord, I felt it truly described the situation, I hope you don't mind my using it, I did not feel it was appropriate to identify the user. :)

It is usually impossible to bring back 'good old days'.

In this case it would be simple enough, I'd imagine to not stream local host port 8111 during tournaments.
