When watching replays, the spectator camera does not pan properly.

E.g. while watching replay, irrespective of the POV I choose (player, freecam etc), if I pan l left whilst mouse is in approx lower 1/2 of screen, background scenery moves left. If I pan l left whilst mouse is in approx TOP 1/2 of screen, background scenery moves RIGHT!
It's impossible to look around the player plane consistently, as the direction keeps flipping.

If I scan upwards (i.e. move mouse upwards), at approx 1/3 of screen from bottom, the entire view flips 180 degrees.

It's quite impossible to follow a dogfight with this camera malfunction.
I tried setting all the settings I could find,  including "flipping y-axis in spectator view", whatever that is, adjusting mouse sensitivity, "sense of flight", whatever that is, to no avail.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Is there some setting I'm missing?
Thanks!
