Numerous pixel weakspots after volumetric


Hi, I thought I'd bring attention to a small problem that's been bothering me lately. It seems that a lot of pixel weakspots were introduced after volumetric armor was rolled out (pun intended). I've mostly noticed this on soviet tanks but I'm sure there's other examples out there. The gap on the IS-2 '44 is the worst offender since it's actually quite easy to exploit, I've killed two IS-2s with R3-T20s because of this. Luckily, that one is already reported so hopefully it's fixed soon.

Edit: you can also apparently kill a T-64 from behind with .50s, because I guess the seperation between the crew and engine compartment isn't modelled anymore... good ol Gaijin quality control...

Oh yeah, this happens on the edges of volumetric armour, so you can have a IS-2 penned by 7mm machineguns

The best solution would be to have the whole hull made of 1 big volumetric armour part so there can't be any super thin edges that your machineguns can pen

 

It happens with any tank that has volumetric armour edges and several diferent armour plates close to each other, like the Ho-Ri Production angled having a whopping 1mm of effective armour (a bit more thanks to shells being volumetric):

It has been more than 6 months since the IS-2 1944 became unusable. They'll just never fix it.

Because for some reason Gaijin wants to make the IS-2 to be a complete garbage in this game.
