Helicopters ruining toptier ground sim battle


when russian team spawns many many helicopters even one helicopter ends game in 5min and killed everything The fire control system for tanks was not even implemented. but helicopters are has OP things must BAN or nerf and must spawn limit the helicotpers

impossible to get close since they also have AAM with all aspects...pointless to even play SB with those helis killing everyone. Each game ive been is nothing but helis killing the whole team and all end up leaving after 1st death.

Not even concerned about the performance of top tier jets against helis all that much, sure they have bad visibility and makes detecting SAM launches hard, and also helis can shoot you down readily, but the real problem is it takes a long time to get to the helis, and on top of that your repair cost is often above 50K sl. That's a staggering amount for a type of vehicle that you spawned to do one thing, and just somewhat effectively at that.

was referring to guy who tells everyone to fly jets while spamming soviet helicopters in sim

Oh god this again... Adel has a point. 

 

He is referring to those people who have the option to fly, but refuse to do so. Jets are the main counter to them, but many people refuse because "tank SB" and that stupid tanks vs tank only mentality. Then they come here and cry. 

 

That being said, Helicopters do need their fix. They may be abused, but they arnt invinsible.

Yeah thats the main issue here. Helicopters should spawn with engine off and map sizes should be increased in order to allow for everyone to get into position. 

 

But its Gaijin, and they only cater to certain people.

In most cases jets will be f**** hard by era VII helis. All of them on VII have AA/AGM and sometimes canon onboard with fckin many rockets. 

 

Gaijin send to us communicate : SB is going to trash. They dont disable this mode fast, because they know many of SB players can pay for next vechicles. And thats all, they cannot fix this, they cannot do anything with SB, and this mode will die naturally.

After many years in WT, now i know this is typical Pay To Win game. Maybe not typical, because many of developers say this directly; Gaijin saying : This cannot exist. 

Like many, many other things what players report but by Gijin it cannot exist.

I know time is short when a helicopter is in the air, but obviously if you approach them head on, they will see you and send a missle your way. You have to stick to the deck and and approach them from behind or the side. Most of the time and they are preoccupied, and you will get the drop on them.. That being said, if you miss your shot, and he gets you, thats on you.

 

Its very important you kill them in the first pass, especially if there is even more of them up in the air.

You kill like that only "dumb" pilots. And i dont get in mind to offend someone. Starting heli have to high viewing angle for that. Ofc, some of pilots  press h to hoover, go up and change to gunner view and dont look for radar and dont check his sides. Map doesnt helps too, there is 2 maps with hills where you can hide in plane ... Wow ... Super. 

There is nothing to say more about that problem. This game going to arcade only, like shadow of World of Tanks. But never be a competitor to WoT .. :)

Yep, not as awful as top tier.  Up to 9_2 is ok regarding heli v tank: 3-4 km range on ATGMs does just out range the current contemporary AAA (although not ground-based ATGMs), but chances of an ATGM hit after 3+ km are small, especially against an aware target.

 

Having played Scout/Marksman and Shilka/Hip, I can say it’s fairly frustrating playing either most of the time.  You can spend a whole game dodging incoming while trying to get your own shot off, and after 20 minutes of high-intensity play you get zero reward, coz none of that is ‘activity’ in Gaijin’s mind.  The kills in either rotary or AAA tend to come when you surprise or otherwise encounter an unaware target well within the effective engagement zone.
