Client wont load High-Res-Textures

Most of the vehicles just load with low-res-textures. Some with high-res. Any ideas how i can fix this?

Game is a new clean install. It happens with open-source and proprietary drivers.

Only (maybe M41,) JPz 4-5, FV4202 and Action X using high-res-textures.

Not my daily use PC but i want to test a clean OS and game installation without changes and with open source drivers. Same happens on my other System same OS/kernel version, same rx580, a ryzen 3500x and amdgpu-pro drivers from AMD.

I have the same issue on three different computers.

My main PC: i5-4690+RX480

My laptop: Acer Aspire i5-8250U+Nvidia MX150

My secondary PC: Phenom IIX4 965 + R7 260X

I use Linux mint 20 on all computers. The nvidia laptop has the latest Ubuntu nvidia driver and the two AMD Desktops have the oibaf Mesa driver installed.

The game loads most of the textures, but the as you can see, the hull or sometimes the turret is washed out. Everything else works fine.

High. And i am able to choose texture quality. Seems its not related to my issue.

Also the missing texture problem seems not only a linux problem.

Here a screenshot with windows client (turret texture in low quality):

Exact issue I am having. Search my activity and under my posts. I had 2 bug reports detailing this issue passed. I DM'd  @KnightoftheAbyss and spoke to another MOD about it. Both said the devs are aware of it. I just hope for a speedy fix because it has been happening since New Power came out day one, which is over a month ago now.

Maybe, your GPU has 4+ GB of VRAM, that is why you can choose high texture settings. I tested the linux version of the game on two desktops. One with 2 GB VRAM and the other with 4 GB. On the 2GB version I can choose only low texture quality and on the 4GB VRAM PC, I can choose medium. This is why I think, on a GPU with 6 or 8 GB VRAM you might able to choose hight texture settings.

Fo me, on linux, there are no buggy washed out textures, I just cannot go high on texture settings, so everythings is more or less washed out in a way. :biggrin:

On windows, I also haw this washed out buggy textures issue, however not all the time.

Here are two not so good screenshots of my game on windows last night, when the issue occured:

@Balazs_hun,

Thank you, However your screenshots don't seem to be displaying properly, Could you please try uploading them again?

@PotatoNuke,

You should be able to delete some old attachments to make some more space, I also need a up to date screenshot of the issue please. ;)

I also still need up to date system information from both of you.

It takes a while but it still happens. This time with screenshots "with bug" and "should be". Complete hull and wheels are low-res. Rest of the tank seems to be normal high-res
