Best current German Premium Tank for Grinding

Hi guys, looking for a new tank for grinding Silver Lions and The German Tech Tree?  My go too was the T34-57 1943 but with the nerf and with it getting in only 5.7 matches its toast.  So I would like to grind out the German like i did on the Russian. Any suggestions for one for the German side?

Best German Premium tank?

Leopard 1 L/44. Ever since it got it's Thermals, it's been quite the machine.

+Strong firepower

+decent mobility

+++ thermals!

-meh armor

-rather expensive.

I'd suggest waiting until November 2nd because the website it supposed to have it's own sale and considering the last several sales, these top tier machines went on sale by a decent amount.

KV-1C and Ru-251.

Best in term of performance, amount of gameplay you can learn from and uniqueness.

Heslo, what About that M 47 Patton G? Is IT ok for 7.7 line up grind?

get the RU-251 it has much more use then this tank since you can use it in a far wider BR range  it will do perfectly fine in a full up tier and perpars you for the leo 1 nice both of there play stiles are very similar

Thanks guys, its this type of discussion where I learn much. I think the RU251 will be purchased tomorrow when the sale starts.

For the same price you might invest in a 4.0 prem lineup. The RU is a high risk unit for me, flanking, caprushing, trying to get into spawn camping position. Thats risky and you might easily lose it, if you're spotted. Over years I collected this 4.0 lineup, which is far more reliable than one single high value unit. Some units of this lineup might be off limits now, but.....for the price of a single RU you might also buy the pretty good prem Churchill, KV-2, Befehlspanzer IVJ and the prem T-34 (!) .... and add some prem planes to it. 4.0 has better winrates than 6.7 as well. Consider that. Aside from modern stuff (high income modifiers and alot battles for me with Flarak, Leopard 2's etc.) the Prem Church is my most profitable unit. Fast firing gun with good pen + very tanky.

Makes no sense to add more than one fighter class to the lineup. Unlike tanks the 2nd spawn of an identical class of planes cost far  to many spawn points. So I'd opt for the Bf 110 as strike fighter for its great ground striking capability and ok'ish anti air role. As attacker ofc the IL2 with bombs and 23mm AP ammo, you can penetrate most tanks from above with those guns. As bomber the Ju-88 A4 is the best choice at this BR bracket (2x 500kg and 36x 50kg, air brakes, active MG, nice rear gunner) .

One minor downside of getting the Ru251, is that is plays different from most other German tanks. So the skills you learn with it might not help you as much as KV-1C or T-34.

ye but  he needs to learn that playstyle anyway since armor on leopard1 + will not save it from anything

IMO Ru251 plays even faster and less protected than the Leopards.

Feels more like TAM, HSTV-L and CV90105.

Would you buy the KV-2 for 50% off? Is it useful?

Derp guns are always for meme and giggles.

The slow reload means it is limited in usefulness.

It got dropped to 4.0 after the new calculations reduced its APHE from 140ish pen to 95ish, so it can't go through a Jumbo frontally like it used to, but it still one shots a lot of stuff. I quite like using the HE sometimes too, just for fun.

Volumetric shells have made it a bit more survivable, and the BR drop means it now fits into the powerful captured 4.0 lineup. It can do surprisingly well if you have team support, or a good spot where you can retreat behind cover to reload without too much chance of somebody rushing you.

Having said that, any of the other 4.0 premiums will likely be more efficient for grinding. KV-2 is more for fun when you just want to blow a few people up.

I finally bought the KV-2 as suggested and spent the remaining GE for Flegel's Bf 109^^ Now I'm broke. But finally own a full 4.0 prem lineup of doom. If neccessary I can field the unholy trinity of the 4.0 heavy capture tanks and do Heavy Tanker tasks in no time.

No love for poor Brummbär??? :(

Brummbär is quite a fun vehicle, similar to the KV-2. Despite its reload isn't as bad.

However....at the same BR of 4.3 is the Jagdpanzer IV/70 Ausf A with Pak42 (lol) cannon. Its frontal armor layout with its high profile and this annoying flat section is far inferior to the 5.3 Ausf V, but the gun is the same. The recent BR decrase to 4.3 makes it really a good choice. Especially over the Brummbär. I remember it beeing 5.0 and later 4.7 BR. Now its  finally 4.3 .....

Similar to the prem 4.0 lineup you might now use an 4.3 Jagdpanzer lineup, mainly made of premiums. At 5.0 the IV/70 (A) wasn't that bright, but I did some 4.3 BR test matches and it seems to be useful.

I know a guy who calls the vehicle "Nazi Multipla". It's so ugly that I'd think it's of the british design school... :D

However, Brummbär is the best moneymaker for me. Also it has a different play style, so it's a breath of fresh air, too. Not to mention that at this volumetric times, the 15cm derp gun is pretty much the only reliable KV eraser... :)
