Also I noticed, especially in aircraft that the sound seems to be "lagging behind" which makes tracking aircraft by sound, absolutely impossible.

Which is a) realistic and b) likely linked to the "Speed of Sound" setting, so can be potentially turned off (have not tested it because I like sounds to be actually realistic and not gamified).

And yes, the current outside sounds of planes flying above e.g. a tank sound like a Cessna 152 with a Lycoming 4 cylinder boxer and not a 27L V12 military engine, like a RR Merlin. Whatever sound they had before the last 3 or 4 updates was great in terms of overflying engine sound.

Best regards,

Phil

I know what you mean, like yeah I am totally on your side here. But I am talking about something that is hard to discribe and it sounds way off.. for example: When an friendly aircraft is flying to my right, I can hear him louder on my left ear then on the right, which is weird af.. I geniunely thought multiple times by now that I had my headset the wrong way around.. but I can assure you that is not the case.

So there is something off with the sound source.. as you can imagine this is more than just a little disorienting and not very fun when you rely on sound.

Hmm, ok, I have not noticed that "channel switching" behavior. I have not focused on it, but I would imagine it would be noticeable enough that I should've by now. Then again I am using a 5.1 surround system and not headphones.
Best regards,

Phil

A Personally Desire for me and others; Gaijin please make better HelicopterSounds!
Because These boring Ingame-HeliStandartSounds are crap!!.. real pity! sry..but .. Better Sounds would perform 100-percent more Fun to fly with a Heli InGame for all Players! I think thats not a lot
of Work for a big Brand...!

The other Engine Sound-qualitys from Tanks and Planes are good and ok. :)

I and many other Fans love Helicopters!! - We get so cool and very good designet Helicopters for War Thunder-Game, they look great and have a amazing Physical-Flyingfeel with very good
Options/Settings for Joystick, that i love.
But these poor crap cheap Sounds?!! I cant understand that.. :/
And i saw , Some great Modders made amazing realistic HelicopterSounds extra for WT.! look on Youtube! (Epic Thunder SoundMod!..) the Game gets every Time a new Update so that makes Mods
doesnt work again! :/

greetings All! <3 :)

is it possible to get rid of the pinging sound on jets being stressed as it sound the same as gun fire. exchange it with a different sound of metal bending and stretching.

With the speed of sound setting turned on, it's impossible to determine where aircraft are in ground RB, because you can't find aircraft due to the sound that is lagging behind.

This would make sense if the plane was 5,000 or 10,000 feet above the battle, but not 200 feet. So I've turned off this setting.

I also agree that current prop driven aircraft sounds are terrible. There are some great mod on the live section, with great sounding vehicles.

Speaking of Ground vehicles, this update I've had more "silent" tanks than in the past kill me. These aren't ones with their engines turned off, they are tanks driving by with no sound to announce where they are. I don't know what's changed with this update, but Tiger IIs or and IS-6 that just suddenly appearing with no sound is getting tiresome.

Sound seems to be broken again after last "fix". Sounds are all over the place. I notice a 20 to 30 degree shift on the direction of the sound (for tanks, worse on planes).
There are also still tanks driving around with fluffy slippers and silenced mufflers because it happens more often then not that I can hear a team mate driving around 2 streets / hills over but my squad mates and me can't hear enemy tanks driving close behind us. Subsonic jets and props also seem to have acquired said ninja exhausts because more often then not you won't hear them until it's too late.

Hello I'm wondering why we don't have the sound of the landing gear and the flaps going up or down.

For simulator I find this very odd, the sound of the electric motor for the flaps should be quite loud and give us a good indication when the flap are begening to move and when the engine sound stop you know flap reached proper position.

Same for the landing gear with the hydraulic pump being activated

The 20mm M39 sounds more like an infantry small caliber machine gun than an autocannon.

This is also my feeling also with 30mm cannons. This update made all of the guns feel worse actually.

PlayStation5 is synonymous with playing.

Sounds that have been changed recently, especially machine gun sounds, seem to be heard regardless of the direction of the head.

In other words, even if the right side sounds louder, the same volume is being played from the left side.

UPDATE 2.25 1.25

Regarding recent tanks gunfire sound update:

The interior sounds are great now to be honest they are right. Just how it should be.

Exterior sounds are awful. just awful my apologize but It ain't good that every update ever we notice a sound change like sometimes you actually makes the gunfire sounds are great (both interior and exterior). Just like before the 2.25 recent update. Gunfire sounds were just great! But for some reason it became awful.  I just don't understand sometimes we really push forward in sound development sometimes we push way way back.

 Here's a video..

I hope please consider getting back the EXTERIOR sounds back!

Have a good one
