TempeTempest 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2020 I have been using mouse control with no problems. Now I am trying to switch over to a joystick, and I cannot produce the list of joysticks from which to select. I am following the Gaijin procedure (https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us/articles/200070391-Joystick-Setup). As a result (apparently) my joystick will not be recognized. I have tried plugging in two different joysticks: Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox 2 Pro I am following the steps in the article, BUT the problem is the list of joysticks does not appear under the Custom Controls drop-down (step 4). So I am stuck and cannot complete the remaining steps. As I continue to proceed after selecting Custom Controls, I end up on screenshot 6 where it tells me that my device is disconnected/switched off — even though my OS detects the joystick as being hooked up. The latest client log, and pertinent screenshots are attached. 2020_07_21_14_18_05__5990.clog

To make this work, you have to use "Full-real Controls", "Simplified" and "Realistic" do not use Joystick. I will make a report about some of the vague descriptions in settings menu. Veniu 36 Report post Posted November 17, 2020 Try enabling "Full-real controls" and under "Main control axes" pick axis you're interested in, edit it and check auto detect axis then move corresponding joystick axis that you want to use.
claykiller 5 Report post Posted December 21, 2020 That's interesting. My 13-year-old Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick works perfectly with War Thunder, but my new Logitech X56 RHINO joystick does not - the game will not recognize the X axis and Y axis. It might be something with the newer Logitech products. Or with War Thunder.
